Australia v Kiwis good game 10 minutes into the 2nd half 36-18

70-24 full time
4-6-7-9 & 13 all had good games with the NSW hooker being the standout for me

Gee they ran away with it, the stream had no sound for the first 30 minutes then went down completely hopefully up and running before the colts kick off
Tyronne Roberts-Davis with one of the Aussies tries
In terms of the development squad games on Saturday, the U13 squad were dominant in their victory against older opposition. A quick run down on some of the players:
Rixon Andrew – He was supurb at fullback, running with pace and power and constantly broke tackles.
Matamatagi Ripley – The Logan Brothers centre was very elusive in the first half scoring a great long distance try.
Damon Somerville – The Burleigh product played five eight and his speed caused numerous problems. His first try was a dummy and go.
Aaron Lafi – The big Souths Acacia Ridge front rower ran hard all day
Caleb Esera – Another Souths front rower was just shaded in my eyes as the best player on the field, big and fast with a good offload and a decent turn of pace.
Jayde Williams- The tall rangy backrower from the Redlands area was very good
Brendan Paikura – Before he came off injured the young lock made some superb tackles, one of the best techniques I have seen
Keegan Vanderberg – The backrower was very good off the bench
Laavia Pritchard-Malaki – Another young backrower who played well off the bench.
U14’s – They were down 10-0 after any a couple of minutes against a giant Samoan side but fought back to win in a great team effort.
Brent Barnes – He captained the team from fullback and was the best player on the field for me.
Cayle Manu – The young winger made a lot of ground both out wide and up the middle
Andrea Semu – The tall rangy backrower was the Titans best forward for the titans in a very good display
Kyke Faribak – The backrower wore down the opposition with his high work rate
Sam Wilmot – The wide bay trialist worked hard in attack and defense in the front row
Drekwon Brown – He came off the bench and played in the backrow and also at centre/five eight and was very very good
U16’s – Won in very wet and slippery conditions, best for the Titans were Qld U16 backrowers Daruis Farmer and Ben Thomas, with front rower Luke Mastroianni also very good. In the backline, centres Issac Lee and Kees Nicholson showed glimpses of class. Josh Vuta at hooker has some pace and strength, just not sure were his best position is.
U18’s – They were a mix of players trialing, looking to make the NYC squad or ready for another season in MM. By the time that they played the conditions were slippery even though a lot of the rain had cleared. For me the best were front rower Blake Lenehan and half Josh Ralph. A few others showed flashes of real ability and they included backrowers Kristian Petty (Ipswich), Kobe Tararo (Logan) and Sam Clark (Redbacks) and in the centres Machali Morgan (Burleigh) also was good.
Obviously these are only my opinions, but one acknowledgment for me goes to U14 hooker Matt Cannings, he was the smallest forward on the field but constantly was the first player up to tackle the massive Samaon forward pack and also scooted out of dummy half to take them on as well.
Overall, with these games and the U15 win against the Tigers, some positive signs for the Titans junior set up, a number of boys were not there, but the boys that played put in a deserve credit. A great experience for some of the Group One boys who played including Ben Liyou, Caleb Barker (cut head and all), front rower Elijah Winitana and Issac Lee.
On a final note, hopefully the young Samoan boy taken to hospital by ambulance is Ok.

Wepiri Takitimu with a try for Mid Central Vipers U15 in their narrow loss to Wellington on the first day of NZ youth tournament
Another Ipswich boy in line for possible NYC duties next year is Raiden Fonoti a huge back rower from Norths in Ipswich. He is another being looked at. He scored 12 tries from 14 games in the Ipswich U19 comp and also played first grade in Ipswich. Ipswich is one tough competition with plenty of big boys and big hits He came over from NZ earlier this year and also played for Ipswich state high. He is a big boy who runs hard. Titans are doing well looking at the Ipswich region, already signing the likes of Liam Pakea, Blake Lenehan etc. Maybe we have a new scout to two!
