Former WA junior Quinton Dalton’s GCRL U18 Division One debut for Burleigh against Mudgeeraba on the weekend could not have gone much better when he scored in the 58th minute in the left corner after he had backed up a long break down the left touchline by his left winger.

Quinton Dalton also recorded a 58th minute try assist when he ran to his left, drawing in one defender fifteen metres from the line and passed to his left to put Jesse Harrison into the resultant gap for the left centre to score out wide.

Quinton Dalton was also involved in the 31st minute when he chased through a Burleigh kick, with the speed of his chase forcing Mudgeeraba to kick the ball dead, thus gaining a goal line drop out restart for his team.

Reshawn Anderson moved to lock for Bilambil in Round Four of the NRRRL U18 competition on Sunday as the Jets took on the Cudgen Hornets in the local derby, taking the second hit-up of the match.

The match saw Rehawn Anderson score once again in the 35th minute when he barged over after receiving the ball sixteen metres out and slamming the ball down one metre from the left upright.

Reshawn Anderson is one of my favourite players because he does not fit the mould of a modern day front rower, but he is just a natural rugby league player and has been very successful this season in the U18 competition even though he is still U16 eligible.

Titans contracted Kyhan Weir started in the front row for Ballina on Sunday in Round Four of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Marist Brothers Rams and scored his second try of the season in the 23rd minute. Kyhan Weir’s try was more of the type that you would see from a half or five eight as he received the ball sixteen metres out from the line and ran to his left, initially looking as if he was going to pass to his left but instead pulled the ball back in and crashed over three metres from the left upright.

Earlier in the match in the 16th minute, Kyhan Weir made a strong sixteen metre charge through the centre of the field, getting the ball to within the opposition twenty metre area.

Kyhan Weir later in the afternoon came off the bench in Round Four in the First Grade match also against the Marist Brothers Rams.

Petricevich was quite formidable on the wing. Will hope he continues to develop. There isn't much of Bryce (yet) but he has a dig and comes up with some class plays.
