The Titans hooker stocks at the junior level continue to look impressive with that certainly on show this morning for the South Coast Maroon side at the U18 QSSRL Championships as South Coast thumped Darling Downs.

The two South Coast players who played in the dummy half role in the match being Tanu Nona and Caleb Gould-Waiariki are both contracted to the Titans and both scored impressive individual tries.

When he wasn't playing hooker ,Caleb Gould-Waiariki operated at five eight.

Mets Easts impressive victory on Day Three of the U18 QSSRL Championships today over Met West is relevant to Titans fans for two reasons.

The first is that two of the youngest players in the entire Championships, being 1516 year old William Semu and Dominique Sandow are both contracted to the Titans, with both starting today, Will Semu at left centre and Dominique Sandow at five eight.

The second is that Met East is filled with Marsden SHS students, a great sign with the Titans having a formal partnership with the school.

The state of junior rugby league is certainly positive with both the South Coast school boy sides being the U15 and U18 sides playing in the final of their respective Championships this afternoon.

He may have been on the losing side yesterday but Titans contracted Josiah Pahulu was outstanding for Met West on Day Three of the U18 QSSRL Championships.

Since his move from Auckland earlier this year Atunaiasa Pahulu Jnr has been impressive for the Southport Tigers in the GCRL U18 Division One competition and it was no different over the weekend when the right centre scored a double as the Tigers drew 16 all against the Ormeau Shearers.

Great win by the South Coast U15 QSSRL side today in the Championship Final against Met West with Titans Zane Harrison, Nayte Saaga and Ray Puru (who had an abosolute blinder) leading the way.

2021 sees Cooper Nelson move to TSS and he will make his first appearance in the Red and Blue this Saturday when he starts at outside centre for the U15A side in TSS’s first full trial against Ipswich Grammar School.

In mid-February 2021 Cooper Nelson played in the Titans U15 Invitational Trial at Burleigh, a trial which included only the best of the 2021 Titans U15 JTS squad members with the match being a high quality affair.

The electric young fullback or centre played for the Mullumbimby Colts in the 2020 Group 18 U14 competition and was named 2020 U14 Group 18 Player of the Season such was the quality of his season.

Mullumbimby finished third in the 2020 Group 18 U14 competition with five wins, a draw and four losses from their ten games, scoring 196 points and conceding 160 to finish with a +36 points differential.

In early November 2020 Cooper Nelson was a member of the victorious Mullumbiby High School team that won the 2020 U14 Titans 9’s competition that was held at Murwillumbah High School in northern New South Wales.

The recognition that Cooper Nelson received in 2020 was not the first that he had received (and likely not the last) with in 2018 Cooper Nelson being named the Mullumbimby Colts Mods Player of the Year.

Cooper Nelson is also an outstanding track and field athlete being named Far North Coast Athlete of the Year in 2018 (12 years) and 2019 (13 years) and in 2019 was also the Mullumbimby Public School Cross Country 13 Years Age Champion.

In 2018 at the Far North Coast Athletics Championships Cooper Nelson won the 100 metres (13.49 seconds), long jump (4.66 metres) and the 200 metres (27.95 seconds). Cooper Nelson also came second in the shot put (10.42 metres) and third in high jump (1.32 metres).
