Well done to Jacob Tinsley who has signed a three year deal with Souths Sydney. The talented young Logan Brothers hooker played for the Titans U14 squad a couple of seasons ago.

There are some fascinating one on one battles likely tomorrow when Tweed Heads take on Burleigh in Round Three of the MM Cup.

As good a battle as any is between the two Titans contracted hookers in Caleb Gould-Waiariki for Burleigh and Oskar Bryant of Tweed Heads.

Caleb Gould-Waiariki is coming off a two try performance against Ipswich in Round Two and in Round One Oskar Bryant scored the match winning try for the Seagulls also against Ipswich.

It is not just a battle of Titans contracted fullbacks in the MM Cup derby this afternoon it is also a battle of styles.

Burleigh's Syris Schmidt is more of an organising type of fullback who comes up into the line a pass or two off the ruck and plays as another ball player whereas Tweed's Jaylan De Groot is always in and around the play the ball looking for an offload and a gap in the line.

Different styles to be sure but both are very effective none the less.
