After a player of the match performance for the Titans U17 side in their recent victory over Newcastle which included an 80m intercept try right on half time, Titans contracted Michael Roberts will line up at left centre for the Northern Rivers Titans U18 Laurie Daley Cup side in Round One this Saturday at Ballina against the Wests Tigers.

After a number of very solid performances for both PBC and Currumbin in 2020 I will be interested to see how front rower Jotham Russell goes when he lines up for the Tweed Heads Seagulls MM Cup side this season.

line breaking fullbacks are very difficult to find but one arrived at Keebra Park mid-way through 2020 and no doubt will be even better this season, being former Victorian U13 Rugby fullback and No. 10 Tyrus Salanoa.

The young man has some real line breaking ability and is one of the Keebra Park players to watch for me in 2021.

Great to see the Taewa brothers, Jaylen and Jury named as the starting second rowers in the U16 Northern Rivers Titans Andrew Johns side for their Round One match at Ballina against the Wests Tigers on Saturday.

The two young men were also part of the same Titans Invitational U15 side that played at CBus Stadium in October 2020.

After an assured display at halfback for the Titans U17 side in their win against Newcastle, including scoring a try off his own kick, I am looking forward to see how Bailey McConnell progresses this season, starting with how he performs for the Burleigh U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad.

Matthew Barrow got some game time off the bench on the right wing for the Titans U17 side against Newcastle last month and he will get more time on the field for the Tweed Heads Seagulls U16 Cyril Connell Cup side in their upcoming competition.

After a tough 2020 season punctuated by injury it is great to see Titans contracted Wailer Whaiapu named in the 2021 Burleigh Bears U16 Cyril Connell Cup squad for their upcoming pre-season competition.

After an exceptional 2020 season I am keen to see Titans contracted Taelon Te Whiu-Hopa continue to develop starting with the upcoming 2021 Cyril Connell Cup competition after he was named in the Tweed Heads Seagulls squad.

Talented dummy half's are difficult to find but the Tweed Heads Seagulls U16 Cyril Connell Cup side this season have one in Titans linked PBC student Will Saunders.

There is no harder worked on the Coast than this young man.

Size is certainly not going to be an issue for the 2021 Burleigh U16 Cyril Connell Cup side with Titan Philip Hakaraia-Ngamotu.

The young man is an exceptional athlete and his speed and mobility belie the fact that he plays in the front row or second row.
