I have heard a lot about him during the week. It sounds like he is a great player and will be a real handful this weekend in defence

Round Four against Tugun yesterday afternoon saw Burleigh’s Tyler Szepanowski once again start in the front row and he scored for the second week in a row.

Tyler Szepanowski received the ball three metres out from the line off the dummy half to the left of the play the ball and stepped off his left foot to dive over next to the left upright for the last try of the 66 – 0 Burleigh victory.

Tyler Szepanowski also recorded a try assist in the first half of the match when after receiving the ball as Burleigh threw the ball to the right, Tyler Szepanowski took the ball to the line before throwing a good pass to his right to put Lochlyn Sheldon into a gap twenty five metres out to score near the right upright.

The previous week in Round Three against the Ormeau Shearers saw Tyler Szepanowski start in the front row and his first try of the season in the victory. Titans linked Cole Geyer came off the bench yesterday for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Four of the GCRL First Grade competition yesterday against the Ormeau Shearers scoring a double as the Eagles defeated the Shearers 28 - 22.

Cole Geyer’s first try of the match that he scored in the first half was an exceptional long range individual effort. Cole Geyer was at dummy half sixty metres out from the Shearers line two metres in from the left touch line. When the ball was played Cole Geyer darted out of dummy half to his left down the left touch line before stepping off his left foot to beat the Shearers fullback and outpace the cover defence to score a simply outstanding individual try.

Cole Geyer scored his second try of the match in the second half to break a twelve all dead lock. Cole Geyer darted out of dummy half to his right from a metre out to score next to the right up right for an opportunist try for the Eagles.
