The Group 18 JRL season kicks off today and good to see Kia Smallwood named the South Tweed Bears U16 captain with Jye Brady named as vice captain.

Impressive to see that 16 year old Titans JTS contracted centre Jeremaiah Tamepo named in the Keebra Park Open A Langer Cup squad for the school boy rugby league competition which starts in a week or so.

Titans linked Travis May scored a double yesterday for his Cudgen Hornets U16 side in Round One of the Group 18 JRL competition. Unfortunately his Hornets side went down 36-26 to South Tweed.

Young winger Maxwell Earl had a good game in Round One of the Group One U13 competition yesterday scoring a double and kicking four goals for the Clarence Coast Magpies as they won 20-8 against the South Grafton Rebels.

Clarence Coast Magpies Group One U13 centre Grant Brown had a good debut yesterday scoring a hat trick for the Magpies in their Round One 46-8 win against the South Grafton Rebels.

Grant Brown then backed up for the U14 match, coming off the bench and scoring as Clarence Coast won 24-10.

Titans linked Tyrelle Waters, Anthony (AJ) Hickling and David Torrens successfully navigated Round One of the Group One U14 competition as the three talented young men all started for the Clarence Coast Magpies in their 24-10 victory against the South Grafton Rebels.

Tyrelle Waters and Anthony Hickling each scored in the 14 point victory.

Clarence Coast Magpies youngster Antwone Quinlin-Randall had a busy day yesterday in Round One of the Group One JRL season. He started the U13 match at lock and then started in the front row in the U14 match with both games being against South Grafton.

He was a winner in both matches.

Jasper Whalley was able to cross for a double in Round One of the Group One U13 competition on Saturday for the Clarence Coast Magpies as they defeated South Grafton 46-8.

With the 2020 Group Two rugby league competition not restarting at all this season, it was good to see Titans linked Jake Martin getting some games under his belt, even if it is in rugby. Over the weekend he started at inside centre (No. 12) for the Grafton Redmen in their Round One 45-15 loss to Casuarina Beach.

Kyogle's Aiden Hardy's 2020 season kicked off where his 2019 season left off but scoring in Round One for Kyogle in their Group One U15 loss to the Grafton Ghosts after starting the match at fullback.

In the 2019 Group One U14 competition he scored ten tries from eleven matches including four tries against Grafton in mid-May and a double against Casino RSM and fortnight prior. Sandwiched in between he scored against Clarence Coast.

Aiden Hardy also scored in matches against Lismore Marist Brothers (he kicked his one and only goal of the season in the match as well), Clarence Coast and Lismore Marist once again late in the season.

Titan Reece Warburton scored ten points from a try and three goals for the Clarence Coast Magpies as they defeated South Grafton in Round One of the Group One U15 competition on Saturday.

Reece Warburton started the match at half back.

The Grafton Ghosts Group One U15 halves both had big matches in Round One of the competition on Saturday, five eight Thomas Bowles scored a try and kicked three goals and half Hamish Speed kicked four goals as Grafton defeated Clarence Coast 42-10.

Titans linked Ghost Ghosts youngster Lockie McLaughlin scored in Round One of the Group One U14 competition on Saturday. Starting the match at lock, Lockie McLaughlin was outstanding as Grafton defeated Kyogle 46-0.

Tough loss for Coombabah SHS this afternoon against St Mary's in the Langer Cup qualifying match with a number of Titans contracted players on display for Coombabah, this to the "guy" for the updates.
