    Titan Will Taylor was recently named Group 18 representative U15 Best and Fairest at the Group 18 Representative Awards night a couple of days ago.

    In early October Will Taylor was part of the Titans U15 side that produced an outstanding performance to defeat the Balmain Tigers.

    Well done to Titan Harvey Moase who has been named Group 18 Rep Play of the year for 2019.

    In early October he was a stand out at half for the Titans U15 side that defeated the Balmain Tigers at Tweed Heads.

    Grafton Ghosts Lockie McLaughlin has recently been named in the Titans 2020 Group One Academy squad that will commence training in Ballina in Northern New South Wales.

    The Grafton High School student played the 2019 Group One U13 season with the Grafton Ghosts and started in his sides 24 – 16 Grand Final victory over Clarence Coast scoring in the victory when he burst down the left side of the field and outpaced the Magpies cover defence.

    In the 2019 Group One U13 competition Lockie McLaughlin played in eleven matches including the finals series scoring twelve tries (109% strike rate) and kicking a conversion when he converted his own try against South Grafton in early June. His twelve tries meant that Lockie McLaughlin finished the 2019 Group One U13 season as the competitions fifth highest try scorer.

    Lockie McLaughlin scored a Round One hat trick against Lismore Marist Brothers and added a further hat trick against Lismore Marist Brothers later in the season. Lockie McLaughlin also scored a double against South Grafton as well as scoring in matches against Ballina, Casino RSM and against South Grafton in the Preliminary Final.

    In 2018 Lockie McLaughlin played in thirteen matches in the Group One U12 competition finishing the season with twenty four points that comprised of four tries and the same number of goals.

    In the 2019 Group One U13 competition Joshua Donovan Skinner played in twelve matches including the finals scoring an impressive ninety four points comprised of fifteen tries (125% strike rate) and seventeen goals. Joshua Donovan-Skinner as a consequence finished the 2019 season as the Group One U13 equal leading try scorer, leading goal kicker and leading points scorer.

    Joshua Donovan-Skinner scored a hat trick against Kyogle in late June and also scored three doubles which came against Kyogle, South Grafton and Ballina. As well as his Grand Final try, Joshua Donovan-Skinner also scored in matches against Clarence Coast (two matches in the regular season), Casino RSM, Lismore Marist Brothers and in the Preliminary Final against South Grafton.

    With the boot Joshua Donovan-Skinner kicked five goals in a match on two occasions which were against Lismore Marist Brothers and Kyogle mid-season. In the match against Kyogle, Joshua Donovan-Skinner also scored a hat trick to finish the match with an individual point’s haul of twenty two points.

    In 2019 Joshua Donovan-Skinner also played one match in the Group One U14 competition which was against Lismore Marist Brothers. Earlier that day Joshua Donovan-Skinner scored twenty two points in the U13 match.

    In 2018 Joshua Donovan-Skinner played fourteen matches in the Group One U12 competition finishing the season with thirty eight points from four tries and eleven goals

    Powerful dual sport player Isaac Barker may have played in only seven Group One U14 matches for South Grafton this season due to other commitments including rugby (where he plays No. 8) but when he was on the field he did not disappoint scoring a staggering sixteen tries to finish with a 229% strike rate.

    Isaac Barker scored four tries in matches against Clarence Coast and Casino RSM and also scored hat tricks against Kyogle and Lismore Marist Brothers as well as scoring against Casino RSM and Grafton.

    In 2018 Isaac Barker scored 31 tries from just eleven matches in the Group One U13 competition.

    well done to Titans linked Devonte Vaivela who recently named Greater Brisbane Junior Rugby League U14 Representative Player of the Year.

    Earlier this month he starred for the Titans U14 side in their victory over a U14/U15 Titans Invitational side at Tweed Heads. The second row/centre has a huge future.

    Kyogle centre Nathaniel Ord continued his rugby league progression in 2019 with the Turkeys in the Group One U15 competition scoring nine tries and kicking eighteen goals for a 72 point haul from eleven matches.

    The Kyogle High School student scored doubles against Lismore Marist Brothers and Ballina as well as scoring in matches against Clarence Coast, Lismore Marist brothers, Casino RSM twice and Ballina.

    From a goal kicking perspective he kicked five goals in June against Clarence Coast and kicked four a fortnight later against Lismore Marist Brothers.

    Grafton Ghosts flyer Jye Boehme had an outstanding 2019 season in the Group One U14 competition, finishing as the competitions second leading try scorer with 21 tries from eleven matches (191% strike rate) and added six goals to finish the 2019 season with a points tally of 96.

    In only one game did Jye Boehme not score but he did score four tries on two occasions being against Lismore Marist Brothers and Kyogle and he added a hat trick mid-season against Clarence Coast (also kicking two goals in that match).

    Jye Boehme also scored doubles against Kyogle, South Grafton and Clarence Coast, with his other tries coming in matches against Ballina on two occasions, Casino RSM and South Grafton.

    Jye Boehme also played AFL in 2019, being named the U15 Best and Fairest Runner-up and was part of the Grafton side that defeated Sawtell 60 – 12 in the U15 AFL Grand Final.

    Ormeau Shearers U13 Division One fullback Ryan McCann’s 2019 season was an impressive one including scoring twenty seven tries from his fourteen matches which saw him finish as the competition’s leading try scorer and a strike rate of 193%. With a conversion against Runaway Bay, Ryan McCann scored 110 points on the season.

    Ryan Mccann’s season included scoring five tries early in the season against Southport and four tries against Currumbin and Southport. He also scored hat tricks in consecutive matches in June against Runaway Bay and Coomera and recorded doubles against Burleigh on two occasions and Currumbin. His other two tries came against Runaway Bay and Burleigh.

    Casino RSM’s Laine Toohey had a season for the ages in the Group One U14 competition scoring at least one try in all eleven of his matches to finish with nineteen tries for a strike rate of 173%. He also kicked conversions against Kyogle and South Grafton to finish the 2019 season with 80 points.

    Laine Toohey scored a mid-season hat trick against Lismore Marist Brothers and late in the season added a further hat trick against Clarence Coast and scored doubles against Clarence Coast twice, Kyogle and Lismore Marist Brothers.

    His other tries came against Kyogle, Ballina, South Grafton and Grafton.

    Laine Toohey also played two Group One U15 matches in 2019

    Clarence Coast Magpies Reece Warburton played in ten matches in the Group One U14 competition this season and scored in all of them to finish with eighteen tries on the season. Reece Warburton also kicked fifteen goals to break through the 100 point mark, finishing with 102.

    Reece Warburton’s season started with a bang scoring five tries and kicking two goals in Round One against Lismore Marist Brothers and went from strength from strength from there. He added a late season hat trick against South Grafton as well as a double against Ballina.

    Reece Warburton’s remaining tries came in separate matches against Kyogle, South Grafton, Casino RSM twice and Grafton twice.

    The MacLean High School student’s 2019 was no fluke as was evidenced by his 2018 season. In 11 Group One U13 matches in 2018 he averaged two tries per game (200% strike rate) and also kicked 14 goals to finish the season with 116 points.

    Reece Warburton scored five tries in a June match against Kyogle and added four in Round One against Casino RSM. In addition he scored hat tricks against Lismore Marist Brothers and South Grafton, going on to score in ten of his eleven matches.

    In 2018 he also played in eight Group One u14 matches for Clarence Coast scoring in four of them being against Lismore Marist Brothers, Kyogle and Grafton in two matches. He also kicked four goals including three in June against the Kyogle Turkeys

    Clarence Coast Magpies elusive Levi Cavanough continues to prove that he is one of multiple outstanding rugby league prospects in Northern New South Wales with another impressive season in 2019 to add to his growing resume.

    For the Magpies Levi Cavanough played in thirteen Group One U15 matches including kicking a conversion in their 14 – 10 Grand Final victory over Ballina.

    In total in his thirteen matches Levi Cavanough scored ten tries and kicked twenty goals to finish with 80 points. He scored doubles against Casino RSM twice and also scored against Lismore Marist Brothers twice, Ballina twice, Kyogle and Casino RSM.

    With the boot he had an outstanding match in early August when he kicked seven against Casino RSM, also scoring in that match.

    In 2019 also played six U16.5 Group One matches making his debut in early May against Marist Brothers Blue with his first points in the U16.5 competition coming in his third match against Casino RSM. Levi Cavanough scored two tries in the U16.5 competition being against Kyogle and Casino RSM.
