Kalani Going’s opening four rounds of the 2019 Queensland Cup competition for Tweed Heads certainly have been impressive.
In his second season for the Seagulls in the Queensland Cup, Kalani Going has played the entire 80 minutes in each of his four matches, running for 387.6 metres (36.12% post contact), scored a try in Round Two against the Townsville Blackhawks, broken twelve tackles, including ten in Round Two against Townsville, recorded a try assist (Round One against PNG) and also has recorded a try assist.
Defensively Kalani Going has made one hundred tackles at an impressive tackling efficiency of 93.2%. In Round One against the PNG Hunters Kalani Going made 39 tackles, missing only one for a 97.5% tackling efficiency in that match alone and in Round Three against the Burleigh Bears his tackling efficiency was 100%.
NRL Development contracts are at a premium I appreciate but he is a second rower that the Titans could do worse than look at for now or next season and beyond.
