Keebra Park youngster Lachlan West finished Round One of the NRRRL U18 competition with an individual points haul of 12 from a try and four goals from fullback as his Casino RSM side defeated Tweed Heads last weekend.

Very interesting to see “usual” centre or winger Caleb Kenna start at hooker for Ballina in their Round One NRRRL U18 side over Kyogle 44-8 with the new hooker contributing a try.

.Impressive 2018 New South Wales Country U16 representative and 2019 Northern Rivers Titians U18 lock and captain Simon Pratt started in the front row and scored for Casino RSM as they defeated Tweed Heads 28-18 in Round One of the U18 NRRRL competition last weekend.

This young man has NRL written all over him.

The Northern Rivers Titans U23 side play their semi-final on Saturday morning against the Illawarra South Coast Dragons in Woy Woy with talented 19 year old half Kel Sheather one young player to watch.

Talented Titans forwards Darius Farmer (second row) and Kai O’Donnell have been named to start for the Burleigh GCRL First Grade side for their Round Three match on Sunday against Currumbin after earlier in the week being named in the Burleigh Colts Round Four side.

Young Helensvale Hornets Kobie Mackey-Taylor fullback signed a contract with the Titans early in 2019 after a stellar campaign with the Hornets in 2018 in the GCRL U14 Division One competition.

For the Helensvale Hornets U14 Division One side in 2018, Kobie Mackay-Taylor played primarily at fullback including in their 29 – 12 Grand Final victory over Coomera, playing in ten matches overall. Team mates in the Grand Final winning were fellow Titans contracted players, second rower Zac Johnson and centre Te Haeta Takamore.

2018 also saw Kobie Mackay-Taylor represent South East Queensland White U14’s in the Queensland Age Championships finishing as the competitions leading point scorer with thirty points from his four matches including three tries and nine goals playing on the wing.

In Round One Kobie Mackay-Taylor kicked a goal against SEQ Green, Round Two saw him score a try and kick three goals against Central and in Round Three Kobie Mackay-Taylor scored a double and kicked three goals against Northern. Kobie Mackay-Taylor then started on the wing in the final kicking two conversions in a 16 all draw against SEQ Green.

Kobie Mackay-Taylor was also part of the Helensvale U14 side that won the Tassell Trophy in 2018 scoring in the Hornets 40 – 6 Tournament final victory over the Western Lions.

To finish off his 2018 season Kobie Mackey-Taylor represented the Cook Islands U14 side at the QPICC Tournament.

Former Gold Coast rugby league and Keebra Park student Tuki Seiuli has been named on the bench for the Bond University Colts I side for their Round Two Queensland Rugby competition.

Fellow former Gold Coast rugby league player Emile Tuimavave has also been named on the Bond University bench.
