Hey Mdrew, I see young Larryon Tevita came off the bench for Burleigh Agrade on the weekend, was he a part of Burleigh MM this year? I know you have posted hes played a couple of 20s games.

Yes mate he was. He broke into the side in Round Three against Tweed Heads. In total he played four MM matches starting two. Round 14 I believe he made his first Colts appearance and has in the side since.

Great to see the Auckland born young man make his GCRL First Grade debut

Former Keebra Park student Emani Vaovasa made his Doug Lipp Cup debut on the weekend in Round 13 of the competition, starting in the second row for Burleigh as they went down 44-0 to Currumbin.

He has played a number of Hastings Deering’s Colts matches for Burleigh recently but with the Colts competition having a bye he was back in the local competition last weekend.

Tough as nails young forward Laz Sua played his 4th GCRL First Grade match of the season in Round 13 on the weekend when he started in the second row for Ormeau as they went down 74-0 to Runaway Bay.

Laz Sua played for the Tweed Heads Seagulls MM Cup side earlier this season and has also played a number of Hastings Deering’s Colts matches for the Seagulls as well interspersed amongst his GCRL First Grade matches.

Titans Rookie Squad member Isaac Lee made his GCRL First Grade debut on the weekend in Round 13 when he started from the bench for Southport as they went down 26-22 in a close contest against Tweed Heads.

Isaac Lee has spent the majority of this season in the centres for the Tweed Heads Seagulls Colts side and in recent weeks has been in outstanding form but with the Colts competition having a week off, Isaac Lee got a great opportunity to play against men including Titans contracted player Tony Maitua.

Burleigh MM/Colts and Helensvale U19 player Jayden Campbell was back in his usual five eight position for the Hornets U19 side in Round 13 and kicked two from three in a 28-16 loss to Bilambil. For the Burleigh Colts side he has spent the last couple of weeks playing on the wing.

Good to see former Coombabah High School student Ihaka Pihere back on a Gold Coast Rugby League field over the weekend.

He lined up at five eight for the Southport U19 side in their 30-0 win over Mudgeeraba.

He had previously spent some time in the Canberra Raiders system and is a welcome addition to the U19 ranks on the Gold Coast.
