18 year old Titans linked Alex Dunneman played his second Toowoomba Rugby League first grade match in Round 15 last weekend for Southern Suburbs starting at fullback as they were defeated by Highfields and Districts 66-18.

Alex Dunneman kicked two conversions from as many attempts including converting the debut try for fellow Titans linked U18 Connor Williams in the 35th minute of the first half. He now has kicked three from three is his two first grade matches to date. I note that he is not the designated goal kicker for the talented Southern Suburbs U18 side this season.

Alex Dunneman had played in the U18 match earlier in the day.

Outstanding centre prospect Mikey Williams scored an impressive double in Round 12 of the GCRL First Grade competition on the weekend as Burleigh defeated Ormeau 32-22. He has now scored five tries from just 6 First Grade matches. A Queensland Cup call up for the powerful New Zealand born youngster cannot be too far away.

Titans Rookie Squad member Jaxson Paulo scored his second try from five GCRL First Grade matches when he started at fullback and scored for Tweed Heads as they defeated Ormeau 32-22.

The rangy outside back who trained with the Titans NRL squad for a part of the off-season will be in line for a Queensland Cup call up if injuries or form impacts on Burleigh’s outside backs anytime in the remainder of the season.

People may argue whether AJ Brimson passed enough in the NRL Round 18 match against the Roosters but the other parts to his game were outstanding. In addition to making 21 tackles, some of them absolutely outstanding, AJ Brismon was also credited with his first NRL line break, had a career high 115 running metres, 39 post contact (equal career high).

For the second week in a row 18 year old Moeaki Fotuaika was easily the Titans best in the NRL match against the Roosters achieving a number of career highs, including running metres (117), post contact metres (46) and tackles (44) all in a very impressive 58 minutes. He also was credited with a line break, tackle break and an offload and continues to be a shining light in a tough season.
