    Noah Reti continued at right second row for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Andrew Johns Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs with Noah Reti making the Titans opening hit-up of the match after an early lost ball by North Coast with Noah Reti, after taking possession of the ball to the left of the ply the ball carrying the ball from forty metres from the try line to thirty metres out.

    From two passes to the right of the dummy half in the 9th minute and thirty metres from his own try line Noah Reti ran the ball out to the forty two metre mark. Then in the 13th minute from the left of the play the bal Noah Reti ran the ball from seven metres inside his own territory to six metres into North Coast territory.

    In the 25th minute from the left of a Titans scrum win and sixteen metres from his own try line Noah Reti was able to get the ball over the twenty metre mark before getting a right arm off-load away to his left to Ryder Nelson. Then from two passes to the right of the play the ball in the 50th minute and nine metres inside his own territory Noah Reti ran straight over the top of one defender as he was able to get the ball seven metres into North Coast territory.

    Rory McInnes continued at hooker for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Andrew Johns Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs with Rory McInnes scoring in the 13th minute when after running out of dummy half to his left when eleven metres from the try line Rory McInnes initially dummied to his left before going for the try line and was able to get the ball down ten metres in from the left corner post.

    Gad Tata will also attend PBC SHS in 2024 and will push for immediate playing time in the PBC SHS School Boy Rugby League Langer Cup Open A side.

    In 2024 Gad Tata played for the Currumbin Eagles in the Gold Coast Rugby league U18 Division One competition with Gad Tata ling up in the centres in the South East Queensland trials.

    Gad Tata arrives on the Gold Coast from the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand with Gad Tata attending Katikati College.

    Prior to his arrival on the Gold Coast the young centre had an impressive representative resume in New Zealand including playing for the Coastline region at the 2023 New Zealand Rugby League National Youth Championships and in 2022 playing for the 2022 Kotahitangu U15 Representative side.

    In 2024 Kaea Cribb will line up for the Currumbin Eagles in the Gold Coast Rugby League U18 Division One competition with Kaea Cribb also U18 eligible in 2025. The 2024 Trials saw Kaea Cribb line up at fullback for the Eagles.

    Kaea Cribb arrived on the Gold Coast from the Waikato region of New Zealand in 2023 Kaea Cribb started at fullback for the Aotearoa Whannui U16 Representative side against an Auckland U16 Invitational Selection. 2023 also saw Kaea Cribb play for Waikato U16’s in the New Zealand U16 National Championships including scoring a try and kicking a conversion from fullback against the Auckland Vulcans in a 20 – 10 Waikato victory.

    In late 2023 Kaea Cribb was part of the Waikato Chiefs U18 Development Camp and started from the bench in a trial at that camp against the Auckland Blues. In 2023 Kaea Cribb played his School Boy First XV Rugby for St Johns College Waikato.

    Kaea Cribb’s speed has been clocked at a touch over 11 seconds for the 100 metre sprint.

    Chase Penna continued from the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Andrew Johns Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs with Chase Penna scoring in the 38th minute when after taking possession of the ball ten metres to the left of the play the ball Chase Penna dummied to his left before stepping off his left foot and after also using a left arm fend to beat a defender Chase Penna executed a goose step before crashing over to score ten metres in from the right corner post. Chase Penna then carried the ball from the subsequent North Coast kick-off to get the ball out to the twenty two metre mark.

    Chase Penna made the first of his two line breaks in the 19th minute when Chase Penna ran onto an off-load from Billy Mulheron from his right on the halfway mark with Chase Penna running to within twenty three metres of the try line but unfortunately his pass from his right went to ground.

    Chase Penna made his second line break in the 45th minute and once again it was as a result of a Billy Mulheron off-load with Chase Penna charging through a gap after receiving the ball six metres inside his own territory to run the ball through the centre of the field and into North Coast territory.

    The 41st minute saw Chase Penna carry the ball to the right of the play the ball from thirty metres from his own try line to forty three metres out after dummying to his right and then in the 50th minute also from the right of the dummy half Chase Penna was able to crash and barge his way from twenty two metres from the try line to six metres out before getting a right arm off-load away to his left.

    Billy Mulheron continued in the front row for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Andrew Johns Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs with Billy Mulheron recording the first of his two line break assists in the 19th minute when after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball from his own thirty five metre mark Billy Mulheron carried the ball to the halfway mark before getting a right arm off-load away to his left to Chase Penna who broke into open space.

    Chase Penna was also the beneficiary of Billy Mulheron’s second line break assist in the 45th minute with Billy Mulhern taking the ball to the right of the play the ball just inside hi own half with Billy Mulheron double pumping a short ball to his right for Chase Penna to once again break through the Bulldogs defensive line.

    In the 16th minute from the left of the play the ball Billy Mulheron was able to carry the ball from thirty metres from his own try line to with three metres of the halfway mark. Then in the 37th minute from the right of the dummy half dummied to his right before running through the centre of the field from thirty four metres from the try line to twenty metres out.

    Aaron Singh-Goesel also started at left second row for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Laurie Daley Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs but due to a Northern Rivers injury Aaron Singh-Goesel moved to right centre early in the match with Aaron Singh-Goesel recording a try assist in the 18th minute when after receiving the ball on the end of a sweeping Titans backline movement from the opposite side of the field Aaron Singh-Goesel when ten metres from the try line drew the North Coast left winger and then passes to his right to put his winger over to score in the right corner.

    AJ Hickling started from the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Laurie Daley Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs and after coming onto the field in the 22nd minute AJ Hickling made a line break in the 40th minute from the left of the play the ball and after receiving the ball ten metres inside his own territory AJ Hickling ran over the top of one defender just inside his own territory with AJ Hickling then charging downfield before being tackled twenty metres from the try line near the left touchline.

    AJ Hickling made an additional powerful run in the 46th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball with AJ Hickling producing a galloping run that saw him get the ball from twenty four metres from his own try line to thirty nine metres out. Unfortunately AJ Hickling suffered what appeared to be a serious leg injury when tackled with AJ Hickling subsequently carried off the field on a stretcher after an extended period of time after the injury was assessed.

    Earlier in the 24th minute AJ Hickling had made a good kick-off return to get the ball out to the twenty three metre mark.

    Harry Chadburn also started at five eight for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Laurie Daley Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs with Harry Chadburn scoring sixteen points from a try and six conversions from eight attempts.

    Harry Chadburn scored in the 7th minute with a ninety metre intercept try. Harry Chadburn was defending on his own try line to the right of the play the ball with Harry Chadbrun initially on the try line and under his own posts and as North Coast spun to the ball to their left Harry Chadburn moved up and took an intercept to run the ninety metres to score with an exaggerated dive ten metres in from the left touchline. Harry Chadburn then converted his own try.

    Harry Chadburn kicked his initial conversion in the 7th minute to convert his own try from ten metres in from the left touchline with Harry Chadburn adding a second conversion from the right touchline in the 14th minute to convert a Brock Tighe try that Harry Chadburn had set up. Harry Chadburn’s third conversion arrived in the 22nd minute from directly in front to convert Robert Smith’s try with Harry Chadburn then converting Kaleb Smith’s try from seven metres to the left of the goal posts in the 38th minute.

    Harry Chadburn converted another try he set up in the 43rd minute with a conversion from ten metres to the right of the goal posts to convert Ayden Byrnes try with Harry Chadburn kicking his final conversion of the match in the 56th minute to convert Jimmy McCombie’s long range try from in front of the posts.

    Harry Chadburn recorded the first of his two try assists in the 14th minute with Harry Chadburn running the ball down a short right blindside and when he got within eight metres of the try line Harry Chadburn threw a cut-out pass to his right to put Brock Tighe over to score in the right corner. Harry Chadburn then converted the try from the right touchline.

    Harry Chadburn recorded his second try assist in the 43rd minute when after running the ball to the right of the dummy half Harry Chadburn ran across the field to his right and at precisely the correct moment Harry Chadburn floated a perfectly weighted pass to his right when twenty four metres out to a straight running Ayden Byrnes who beat the North Coast fullback to score ten metres from the right goal post with Harry Chadburn then converting the try.

    Harry Chadburn ran the ball himself in the 13th minute with an effort to the right of the play the ball to run the ball from thirty four metres from the try line to within twenty metres.

    Harry Chadburn showcased his tactical kicking nouse in the 21st minute with a driving right foot kick to the right of the play the ball from ten metres inside his own territory with the ball pulling up less than a foot from the dead ball line.

    Ayden Byrnes started at lock for the Northern Rivers Titans in the Round Five Laurie Daley Cup local derby against the North Coast Bulldogs and after also playing some dummy half Ayden Byrnes moved to right centre in the 22nd minute due to multiple injuries suffered by Northern Rivers.

    Ayden Byrnes scored in the 43rd minute when he took a smart running line to run into a big gap after receiving a pass from his left from Harry Chadburn twenty four metres and after moving into space Ayden Byrnes dummied to his right and at the same time stepping off his right foot to beat the North Coast fullback and bring the ball around to score ten metres to the right of the goal posts.

    Ayden Byrnes then ran to his right out of dummy half in the 59th minute from thirty five metres from his own try line to get the ball to the halfway mark.

    Dylan Watkins moved to fullback for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Four of the CC Cup against the Redcliffe Dolphins with running the ball to the left of a Tweed Heads scrum in the centre of the field with Dylan Watkins getting the ball from thirty metres from his own try line to within five metres of the halfway mark.

    Dylan Watkins made a darting run in the 16th minute from the right of the play the ball when after receiving the ball eighteen metres out Dylan Watkins stepped his way back towards the centre of the field to get within two metres of the try line in front of the left upright. Then in the 23rd minute after taking a Dolphins clearing kick on the full in his own right corner Dylan Watkins ran the ball towards the centre of the field and get the ball out to the twenty metre mark.

    From the left of a Tweed Heads scrum win in the centre of the field and thirty five metres from the try line Dylan Watkins got the ball to the halfway mark. Dylan Watkins ran back to pick up a errant Seagulls pass in the 48th minute and after picking up the ball two metres inside Redcliffe territory with Dylan Watkins them running the ball through the centre of the field to the twenty two metre mark.

    Callum Dalton also started on the left wing for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Four of the CC Cup against the Redcliffe Dolphins with Callum Dalton coming close to scoring in the 16th minute after chasing through a Seagulls grubber into the in-goal but unfortunately Callum Dalton was unable to get to the bouncing ball.

    Callum Dalton ran to his right out of dummy half in the 21st minute to get the ball from thirty eight metres out to twenty three metres of the try line with the referee ruling six more tackles for the Seagulls. Then in the 49th minute after receiving an off-load when stationed on the left touchline sixteen metres out, Callum Dalton stepped inside and was able to get the ball within three metres of the try line midway between the goal posts and corner post on the left side of the field.

    After missing the initial rounds Josiah Fa’aoso was named on the bench for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Four of the CC Cup against the Redcliffe Dolphins with Josiah Fa’aoso coming off the bench in the 20th minute and a minute later in the 21st minute Josiah Fa’aoso ran onto the ball two passes to the right of the play the ball from twenty one metres from the try line to within seven metres in the centre of the field.

    From an underneath route to the right of the play the ball in the 29th minute Josiah Fa’aoso was able to get the ball from forty metres from the try line to within twenty six metres with Josiah Fa’aoso then awarded a penalty for ruck interference by Dolphins defenders. Josiah Fa’aoso then took the hit-up from the subsequent penalty restart with Josiah Fa’aoso making seventeen metres to within thirteen metres of the try line.

    The 33rd minute then saw Josiah Fa’aoso carry the ball from the left of the play the ball from twelve metres inside his own territory to three metres into Redcliffe territory. Then from the left of the play the ball once again in the 54th minute Josiah Fa’aoso was able to get the ball from thirty metres to forty two metres from his try line.

    Josiah Fa’aoso’s performance saw him receive a special mention in the Courier Mail Round Four CC Cup Team of the Week.
