After missing a couple of weeks, it is great to see Titans contracted Tj Devery back in the Burleigh Colts squad for this match this morning against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls where he will come off the bench.

When 16 year old Dorian Lotaki arrived from New Zealand to attend Keebra Park SHS a couple of months ago I was of the firm belief that his best position was hooker, but he has been the stand out player in the Walters Cup school boy competition at left centre and is the competitions leading try scorer after five rounds.

He also plays for Nerang in the GCRL U18 Division One competition even though he is still U16 eligible and has stood out for the Roosters at half, lock, five eight and on the wing.

Today he is set to start at hooker against Burleigh.

He may be still U16 eligible but Titans linked Stevie O'Connor has been in very good form in the NRRRL U18 this season for the Tweed Coast Raiders and today he will line up at fullback against the Bilambil Jets.

Titans contracted Ryan Foran was one of Murwillumbah's try scorers in their 42-12 NRRRL First Grade victory last night against Northern United when in the 78th minute he backed up a break to receive the ball down the left touchline and ran around twenty metres to score wide out on the left.

Ryan Foran was backing up from a solid performance for PBC against Keebra Park in the Langer Cup on Wednesday night.

Yesterday in Round Twelve of the U18 NRRRL competition against Northern United Murwillumbah and Titans linked Matthew Bollard started at right centre with Matthew Bollard scoring twice.

Matthew Bollard’s first try came in the 20th minute when he charged onto a pass from ten metres out to go straight through a gap to put the ball down mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

Matthew Bollard scored his second try in the 35th minute when he chased through a Riley Lack chip kick to retrieve the ball in front of the Northern United fullback with Matthew Bollard then being able to run around to put the ball down under the posts.

Round Two away to Anglican Church Grammar School on Saturday afternoon saw Titans contracted Syris Schmidt named at fly half for the TSS First XV with Syris Schmidt kicking three conversions and a penalty in the 41st minute in TSS’s tough loss. In addition, Syris Schmidt made a good play in just the 3rd minute of the match when he charged down a Churchie clearing kick which ultimately led to TSS’s first try of the match.

Syris Schmidt was also engaged in an old fashion kicking duel in the 19th minute which he finished with a supurb seventy metre effort when he drilled a left foot kick from only ten metres from the sideline on his own twenty with the ball finding touch ten metres from the Churchie line.

Titans contracted Riley Lack continued at five eight for Murwillumbah yesterday in Round Twelve of the NRRRL U1 8competition against Northern United and had a day out, scoring one try, kicking an exceptional ten from ten, including conversions from both sidelines and also recorded three try assists.

Riley Lack scored in the 49th minute, after a superb break from inside his own territory by Blake Forder, Riley Lack received the ball on the right and was able to get the ball down in the right corner.

Riley Lack’s opening try assist of the match came in the 29th minute he cut back inside off his right foot and was able to offload to Cooper Wolf who crashed over from close range.

Riley Lack added his second try assist in the 35th minute when from thirty five metres out he put in a right foot chip kick which sat up perfectly for Matthew Bollard to race through and retrieve the ball and he was able to bring the ball around and put it down under the posts.

Riley Lack recorded his third and final try assist in the 41st when he fed a scrum running to the left and executing an old fashioned run around with Brandon Williams before putting his support runner through a huge gap thirty five metres out.
