    Titans contracted Jac Finnigan continued at right second row in PBC SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Mabel Park SHS with Jac Finnigan getting the movement underway that led to PBC SHS’s opening try of their big win. In the 4th minute Jac Finnigan took the ball into the defensive line and whilst being dragged to ground Jac Finnigan got away a great two handed off-load to Keano Kini who ultimately scored in the right corner.

    Jac Finnigan then did well in the 24th minute when he held up the Mabel Park SHS replacement dummy half who had tried to burrow his way over from dummy half on the right side of the field.

    Titans contracted Jaylen Taewa started from the bench in PBC SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Mabel Park SHS with Jaylen Taewa coming onto the field in the 22nd minute.

    Jaylen Taewa made two of the most outstanding tackles at you will ever see against Mabel Park SHS with the first of those coming in the 23rd minute when Jaylen Taewa raced his right and did a superb job of holding up the Mabel Park SHS left second rower over the line after he had dived towards the line. Jaylen Taewa dived to his right and got his right arm under the ball and then controlled the Mabel Park SHS second rower on the ground as he tried multiple times to get the ball to the ground.

    Then after PBC SHS had kicked off to get the second half under way, Jaylen Taewa smashed the Mabel Park SHS ball runner front on, knocking him backwards and off his feet.

    Titans contracted William Semu started at left centre in Marsden SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Wavell SHS with William Semu making a key try saving tackle in the 51st minute on the Wavell SHS right centre who had tried to barge over from dummy half wide on the left. William Semu hit the much larger centre on the try line, knocking the ball loose in the process.

    William Semu then did well in the 53rd minute when William Semu chased hard a Marsden SHS grubber into the in-goal with William Semu’s pressure forcing the Wavell SHS fullback to take the ball over the dead ball line to force a goal line drop-out.

    Titans contracted Josiah Pahulu started in the front row and captain for Ipswich SHS in their Quarter Final against Coombabah SHS with Josiah Pahulu outstanding in his two stints on the field.

    The first of multiple exceptional runs from Josiah Pahulu came in the 4th minute with Josiah Pahulu made a great eighteen metre charge to his own forty metre mark with around 75% of the run made up of post contact metres after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball.

    Then in the 9th minute Josiah Pahulu once again charged onto the ball to the left of the play the ball with Josiah Pahulu making twenty two metres to get the ball just into Coombabah SHS territory.

    Josiah Pahulu added a further strong run in the 15th minute by making twenty more metres and breaking three tackles as he charged from his own forty metre mark to forty metres out from the try line.

    Josiah Pahulu was just as outstanding in his second stint on the field as was evidenced in the 54th minute when from an Ipswich SHS penalty tap restart Josiah Pahulu made a twenty metre charge to get within five metres of the try line with at least 50% of Josiah Pahulu’s metres post contact.

    Cooper Camby started at right centre in PBC SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Mabel Park SHS with Cooper Camby scoring a try and recording a try assist as PBC SHS qualified for the semi-finals.

    Cooper Camby scored in the 39th minute when after running to his right Zane Harrison passed the ball to Cooper Camby who was running an underneath route with Cooper Camby running the requisite ten metres to scored ten metres to the left of the uprights. Initially Cooper Camby was held up by a number of defenders over the line but Cooper Camby was able to get the ball down in his right hand.

    Cooper Camby recorded his try assist in the 30th minute when after Cooper Camby took a Josh Lynn bomb on the full ten metres out and five metres in from the right touchline in his two hands above his head, Cooper Camby was able to get the ball away to his inside as the defence converged on him to Zane Harrison who was able to bring the ball around to put it down under the posts.

    Taniela Mapusua-Lotaki started at right centre in Keebra Park SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Marymount College with Taniela Mapusua-Lotaki recording a try assist in the 27th minute when after drawing in the Marymount College left winger Taniela Mapusua-Lotaki got the ball away to his right from eight metres out to send Jeremaiah Temapo over to score in the right corner.

    Will Taylor started at left second row in PBC SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Mabel Park SHS with Will Taylor scoring twice as PBC SHS qualified for the semi-finals.

    Will Taylor’s opening try came in the 20th minute when from twenty metres out Will Taylor charged onto a short ball from his right from Keano Kini with Will Taylor bursting between two defenders before steeping off his left foot to beat the Mabel Park SHS fullback to score under the posts from twenty metres out.

    Will Taylor scored his second try in the 32nd minute when Will Taylor chased through a Josh Lynn righty foot grubber kick from thirty five metres out down a short left blindside and after the Mabel Park SHS right centre overran the ball, Will Taylor was on the spot to dive on the ball in the in-goal to score in the left corner.

    Will Taylor executed a smart play in the 38th minute with a one on one strip of the ball forty metres out from his own try line with Will Taylor then able to make eighteen metres downfield. Will Taylor also did well in the 53rd minute when he took a Mabel Park SHS short kick-off in the full after the kick-off had travelled just over the required ten metres with Will Taylor taking the ball on the full running back towards the try line.

    In the 48th minute along with Keano Kini, Will Taylor made a great covering tackle on the Mabel Park SHS hooker (No. 9) as he charged at the try line just to the left of the uprights.

    Titans contracted Blake Forder continued on the left wing in PBC SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Mabel Park SHS with Blake Forder doing well in the 46th minute when after taking a Mabel Park SHS kick-off on the full whilst sliding forward, Blake Forder got to his feet five metres out from his own try line and was able to promote the ball through the centre of the field to thirty metres out from his own try line.

    Blake Forder did even better in the 52nd minute when he jumped up on the left touchline to knock a Mabel Park SHS kick for touch for a penalty up in the air just in the field of play with Blake Forder then taking possession near the halfway mark and running the ball back twenty metres to put PBC SHS immediately on the attack.

    Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki started at left centre (he spent time in the dummy half role as well) in Keebra Park SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Marymount College with Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki scoring in the 52nd minute when Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki was on the end of the Keebra Park SHS sweeping backline movement which started on the opposite touchline with Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki receiving the ball twelve metres out with Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki having a relatively easy run to put the ball down three metres in from the left corner post.

    Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki also recorded a try assist in the 60th minute when after taking a Keebra Park SHS kick on the full three metres from the left corner, Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki was able to get the ball away to his winger to score in the left corner.

    Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki made a good defensive read in the 58th minute when Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki came out of the Keebra Park SHS defensive line and smashed the Marymount College fullback thirty metres out from the try line with Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki’s heavy initial contact forcing the ball loose with Keebra Park SHS taking possession as a result.

    Then in the 59th minute Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki smashed the Marymount College halfback with another heavy tackle front on just over the halfway mark. Prior to those two tackles, Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki in the 23rd minute crunched the Marymount College hooker over the top after he had ran out of dummy half.

    Titans contracted EJ Finau started at left second row in Keebra Park SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Marymount College with EJ Finau along with Arama Hau making the opening tackle of the match after Keebra Park SHS had kicked off.

    Then in the 3rd minute EJ Finau made twelve metres down the left channel from a standing start with EJ Finau able to get the ball within ten metres of the try line. EJ Finau made another strong run down the left channel in the 26th minute with EJ Finau able to make sixteen metres to get the ball to twenty metres from the try line.

    Titans contracted Josh Lynn continued at five eight in PBC SHS’s Langer Cup Quarter Final against Mabel Park SHS with Josh Lynn scoring twenty two of PBC SHS’s points in a big win from nine conversions, including a great conversion from the left touchline in the 32nd minute to convert one of Will Taylor’s two tries, and a try.

    Josh Lynn scored in the 59th minute when after receiving the ball twelve metres out and to the left of the play the ball Josh Lynn ran straight at the Mabel Park SHS defensive line and after dummying to his inside Josh Lynn had a saloon passage through the defensive line and brought the ball around two score under the posts to make his conversion a whole lot easier.

    Josh Lynn also recorded a 32nd minute try assist when Josh Lynn took possession of the ball down a short left blindside and put in a right foot grubber kick and after the Mabel Park SHS right centre overran the ball, Will Taylor was on the spot to dive on the ball in the in-goal to score in the left corner.

    Josh Lynn was also heavily involved in Zane Harrison’s 30th minute try when from thirty metres out and in the centre of the field, Josh Lynn put up a bomb to his right with Cooper Camby taking the bomb AFL style above his head and getting the ball away for Zane Harrison to score.

    South Grafton Rebel Samuel Petch scored a try and a conversion in Round Ten of the Group One U16 competition against the Clarence Coast Magpies before also scoring and kicking a conversion in Round Eleven against the Grafton Ghosts.

    Malachy Laarhaven started at lock and scored a hat trick for the Kyogle Turkeys in their 2022 Group One U14 Round One match against Casino RSM.

    Malachy Laarhaven made it two rounds in a row with a hat trick in Round Two against Marist Brothers after once again starting the match at lock. Malachy Laarhaven then scored doubles in Round Six against the South Grafton Rebels and Round Eight against the Ballina Seagulls.

    Malachy Laarhaven also scored in Round Eleven against the South Grafton Rebels.

    In Round Six of the Group One U15 competition against the Grafton Ghosts, five eight Grant Brown scored a try and kicked a conversion for the Clarence Coast Magpies. Grant Brown then kicked another conversion in Round Nine against the Grafton Ghosts. Grant Brown’s strong season continued in Round Eleven against Marist Brothers with Grant Brown scoring a try and kicking two conversions after also scoring in Round Ten against the South Grafton Rebels.

    Grant Brown has also played a number of matches in the Group One U16 competition in 2022 including starting from the bench in Round Eleven against the Marist Rams with Grant Brown scoring a try and kicking a conversion.

    Noah Reti was at his destructive best for the South Grafton Rebels in Round Eight of the 2022 Group One U14 competition against the Marist Rams with Noah Reti scoring four of the Rebels six tries in a big South Grafton victory. Noah Reti then scored a double in Round Eleven against the Kyogle Turkeys.
