It was a difficult night for the Titans last night but one young player who stood up was Gold Coast (South Tweed JRL) junior Jai Whitbread.

In just 28 minutes he ran for 97 metres, 38 post contact and 20 tackles at a more than impressive 96% tackling efficiency.

He’s been playing pretty well once he gets on. It’s been great watching him.

Derby day today with Tweed taking on Burleigh in both Colts and Queensland Cup should be exciting matches with plenty of future Titans in both matches.

Even though he is still U18 eligible, young second rower and Keebra Park student Brenden Hoffman has played plenty of matches above his age group including two U20 matches and also two in the Doug Lipp Cup for Runaway Bay.

On his return from injury William Semu who was player of the match for the Titans U14's earlier this year wore the No. 7 jersey (usually plays second row) for Carina and did some good things on the left of the field today as Carina won 18-14 against the previously unbeaten South Acacia Ridge Magpies in the GBJRL U14 Division One competition.

He looked like he was going to score a long range try down the left touch line in the second half but his foot just touched the line.
