16 year old lock Joshua Stothard who earlier this season was named in the New South Wales Country U16 side had an outstanding finish to the Group One U16.5 competition scoring a double in the final three rounds including in the final regular season round being Round 14 last weekend as his Casino RSM side defeated Kyogle 44-16.

Casino RSM U16.5 half Tyrelle Roberts kicked six from 8 in Round 14 last weekend as RSM defeated Kyogle 44-16.
He finished as the leading points scorer in the competition with 126 three in front of Titans contracted Ethan Foster.

With the Burleigh Colts side having a bye last weekend a number of players took the opportunity to go back and play for their local clubs.
One such player was powerful front rower Jayden Sharp who started in the front row for Helensvale in their Round 16 U19 30-26 loss to Runaway Bay.
Jayden Sharp then backed up to come off the bench in the Doug Lipp Cup match.

Titans linked Jayden Campbell started off Sunday by starting at five eight for Helensvale in Round 16 of the GCRL U19 competition and kicked five from five in a tough 30-26 to Runaway Bay.
When the final siren went in that match, he donned the No. 6 jersey for the Doug Lipp Cup match, scoring a try and kicking a conversion playing alongside his father Preston who started at half for Helensvale.

Good to see young winger Braden Amundsen named on the wing for the Burleigh Colts side for this weekends Round 23 match against the Townsville Blackhawks. It will be his Colts starting debut and well deserved at that.

Burleigh Colts centre Reece Tapine made his GCRL First Grade debut last weekend in Round 16 and scored as well as being on a winning side as Burleigh defeated Bilambil 40-28.

Burleigh’s New Zealand recruit hooker Repoama Morris-Ponga made his Doug Lipp Cup debut in Round 16 last weekend, unfortunately Burleigh went down 26-16 to Bilambil.

One of the quiet achievers on the Gold Coast this season has been Ormeau Shearer Liam Hori-Clark, who in Round 16 of the GCRL U19 competition started at five eight and scored a double as his Ormeau side had a big 56-20 win over Beaudesert.
He then backed up to come off the bench in the First grade fixture later in the afternoon against Tweed Heads.
Liam Hori-Clark has played in both the U19 and First Grade fixtures in the same Round on a number of occasions this season and has played solidly in both grades.

Half Shallin Fuller continued both his heavy workload and solid try scoring form in Round 16 of the GCRL competition last weekend.
He started the day scoring his 14th U19 try of the season and also kicked a goal as his Beaudesert side went down 56-30 to Ormeau.
He then came off the bench in the Doug Lipp Cup match crossing for a try in that match as well.

In Round 14, being the last regular season round of the Group One U13 competition, Grafton and Lismore Marist won hard for a 20 all draw.
For Lismore the outstanding Kye Cooper scored a try and kicked two conversions.
On the season, in eleven matches Kye Cooper has scored 36 tries and kicked 38 goals to finish the Group One U13 regular season as the competitions lead points scorer with 220 points.

PBC and 2018 Tweed Heads Seagulls MM Cup youngster Caleb Hodges made his Doug Lipp Cup debut in Round 16 last weekend, coming off the bench for Bilambil as they defeated Burleigh 36-18.
Caleb Hodges is MM Cup eligible once again in 2019.

Outstanding Grafton Ghosts youngster Grayson Reimer maintained his 300% strike rate (in fact it is a touch higher than late) in Round 14 of the Group One U13 competition last weekend scoring a hat trick as his Grafton Ghosts side drew with Lismore Marist Brothers 20 all.
In the Group One U13 competitions regular season which ended last weekend, Grayson Reimer scored an incredible 42 tries from just 12 matches.

Young Titans linked fullback Malachi Roberts made his NRRRL Reserve Grade debut in Round 18 last weekend for Ballina as they drew 18 all with Northern United.
The 17 year old has played ten U18 NRRRL matches scoring four tries including one in the U18 match preceding his Reserve Grade debut.
