Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki’s second try of the match came in the 46th minute when he exploded out of dummy half to his left from three metres out to crash over mid-way between the corner post and goal posts on the left side of the field.

Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki completed his hat trick in the 53rd minute when he was on the end of a Keebra Park backline movement to the left to score in the left corner with a defender still trying in vain to bring him to the ground.

Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki also made a line break in the 52nd minute making forty five metres and breaking three tackles after getting on the outside of his direct opponent to get to within fifteen metres of the try line.

In the 15th minute, Dorian Mapusua-Lotaki showcased his elusiveness when he beat five defenders in a winding run that started on the right and finished on the left. After his Round One hat trick, PBC’s Jett Forbes also started on the right wing in Round Two of the Langer Cup against St Mary’s College Toowoomba, scoring once again in the 55th minute when he backed up a break by Deine Mariner to receive the ball from the centre near mid-field. As soon as he received the ball, Jett Forbes veered to his right to keep clear of the cover defence to dive over in the right corner.

Jett Forbes once again had an outstanding match overall and in fact almost scored as early as the 10th minute when he chased through a PBC clearing kick, getting a great bounce to retrieve the ball ten metres out but the desperate tackle by the St Mary’s fullback forced the ball from Jett Forbes’s grasp.

Jett Forbes was positioned perfectly in the 19th minute when he took a St Mary’s bomb in his direction on the full in-goal and raced out to the twenty metre line and taking a quick tap. From the tap restart, Jett Forbes ran to his left, making eight metres before off-loading to his right to Tanu Nona who promoted the ball a further fifteen metres.

Jett Forbes positioning once again came to the fore in the 26th minute when he positioned himself just behind the line taking a St Mary’s College chip kick on the full and immediately ran towards centre field, beating three tackles and making ten metres before being put to ground around twenty five metres from his own line.

Jett Forbes made a further line break in the 53rd minute when he flashed down the right touchline, almost going the distance to score, but after he was collared and in danger of being dragged into touch, Jett Forbes was able to get a pass back inside to Reef Sommerville.

Tuvalli Khan-Pereira had a very solid 2021 MM Cup campaign for Burleigh but he has gone to another level since his elevation to the Burleigh Hastings Deering’s Colts squad.

Last weekend, Tuvalli Khan-Pereira continued at right centre in Round Seven against the Central Queensland Capra’s, scoring the Bears final try of the match in their big win as well as recording a first half try assist.

Tuvalli Khan-Pereira scored in the 58th minute when he received a great over the top off-load from Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui forty five metres from the line and raced down the right touchline beating one Capra’s cover defender with a strong left arm fend to score in the right corner.

Tuvalli Khan-Pereira recorded his try assist in the 16th minute with a great catch and pass down a right blindside Burleigh raid to put Kalani Skipps over in the right corner.

Titans contracted Isaac Matalavea-Booth last week started training on a limited basis with the NRL squad but last weekend was back starting in the front row for Burleigh in Round Seven of the Colts competition against the Central Queensland Capra’s and scored the Bears second try in their big victory and also recorded a try assist.

Isaac Matalavea-Booth scored in the 12th minute of the match from approximately twelve metres out. Burleigh worked the ball back to the right after initially moving the ball to the left, with Isaac Matalavea-Booth receiving the ball whilst stationary. As soon as he took possession, Isaac Matalavea-Booth ran to his right, before stepping off his right foot just prior to engaging defensive line, beating two defenders as a result of his change of direction. Isaac Matalavea-Booth rumbled towards the line with one Capra’s trying in vain to stop him from scoring by holding his jersey. That proved to be an impossible task with Isaac Matalavea-Booth getting the ball down adjacent to the right upright.

Isaac Matalavea-Booth recorded his try assist in just the 6th minute when after receiving the ball thirty metres out he ran at the defensive line but just prior to engaging the line, Isaac Matalavea-Booth subtly adjusted to his right and threw a great short ball to his right to a rampaging Samuel Shannon who flew through a gap to score untouched from twenty five metres out.
