    Billy Mulheron also started in the front row for the Northern Rivers Titans in the rescheduled Round Three Andrew Johns Cup match against the St George Dragons with Billy Mulheron taking the second hit-up of the match from the left of the pla the ball to get the ball from fifteen metres from his own try line to twenty eight metres out, Billy Mulheron also made the fourth hit-up from the right of the dummy half to get eh ball within five metres of the halfway mark.

    From the right of the play the ball in the 5th minute Billy Mulheron was able to get the ball from his thirty metre mark to forty one metres out after dummying to his right. Then in the 7th minute also to the right of the play the ball Billy Mulheron ran the ball through the centre of the field from forty metres from the try line to within thirty metres.

    In the 9th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball Billy Mulheron dummied to his right once again before running the ball through the centre of the field from thirty five metres to twenty two metres from the try line. Then in the 13th minute from the left of the dummy half Billy Mulheron carried the ball to within thirteen metres of the try line after taking possession thirty metres out.

    From twenty five metres out from his own try line and to the right of the play the ball Billy Mulheron produced a yardage carry which saw him make twelve metres to win a penalty for the Titans for St George being offside. In the 44th minute Billy Mulheron ran out of dummy half to his right to make thirteen metres from forty metres from the try line.

    At the conclusion of the regular season rounds of the 2024 Andrew Johns Cup Billy Mulheron was named as one of the Top 40 2024 Andrew Johns/Laurie Daley Cup players.

    Round Two of the NRRRL U18 competitions (Round One was a washout) saw Sione Tonga named in the front row for Marist Brothers against the Ballina Seagulls.

    In October 2022 Sione Tonga was named in the 2023 Northern Rivers Titans U16 Andrew Johns Cup squad after an outstanding 2022 rugby league season both at the club school boy and representative level with Sione Tonga part of the Northern Rivers Titans squad that played the Tweed Heads Seagulls CC Cup squad in a trial at Burleigh Juniors as part of the Titans Annual Super Saturday series of matches.

    Sione Tonga was named on the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans in their Round Five match against the North Coast Bulldogs with Sione Tonga coming onto the field in the 40th minute and making a strong impact in both attack and defence.

    Even though he was still U16 eligible Sione Tonga started from the bench in Round Two of the 2023 NRRRL U18 competition for Northern United against the Mullumbimby Giants with Sione Tonga operating on the left side of the field when he came onto the field in the second half.

    The tall, long striding Marist Ram from Lismore has been one of the best ball runners in the 2021 Group One U14 and 2022 U15 competitions regardless of position.

    Sione Tonga started in the centres for the Marist Brothers Rams in Round One of the 2022 Group One U15 competition against the Ballina Seagulls and Sione Tonga had a great match including scoring four tries, a couple spectacular individual efforts. Sione Tonga added a further try in Round Eight against the South Grafton Rebels.

    In addition to playing a number of matches in the centres Sione Tonga also played matches in the second row including in Round Eleven against the Clarence Coast Magpies with Sione Tonga also scoring in that match.

    Then also from the second row position Sione Tonga scored an impressive hat trick in Round Thirteen against the Grafton Ghosts before going one better by scoring four tries in Round Fourteen against the South Grafton Rebels.

    Sione Tonga then started from the bench in the rescheduled Round Two match against the Clarence Coast Magpies with Sione Tonga scoring twice for the Rams.

    In Week One of the 2022 Group One U15 Finals series Sione Tonga started in the centres for the Marist Rams against the Grafton Ghosts.

    Sione Tonga finished the 2022 Group One U15 season as the competition’s leading try scorer with nineteen tries and finished third from an overall points scoring perspective with seventy eight points when you add in Sione Tonga’s conversion.

    2022 also saw Sione Tonga named in the U15 First Nations Goanna’s side on the bench for the U15 Australian School Boy Rugby League Championships that were held in Redcliffe.

    2022 also saw Sione Tonga named in the U15 North Coast School Boy Rugby League Representative side from Richmond River High School.

    Sione Tonga started for the Marist Rams at fullback from Round One of the 2021 Group One U14 season against the Grafton Ghosts through to Round Ten against Casino RSM. Round Twelve however saw Sione Tonga moved to lock against Kyogle before moving once again in Round Thirteen against South Grafton, starting at five eight against the Rebels.

    Through the opening twelve rounds, Sione Tonga scored five tries with those tries coming in Round Three (Casino RSM), Round Seven (South Grafton), Round Eight (Clarence Coast Magpies), Round Nine (Ballina) and Round Ten against the Kyogle Turkeys. Sione Tonga also converted his own try in Round Eight against the Clarence Coast Magpies.

    Even though he is still U16 eligible this year Malachy Laarhaven will start in the second row today for the Kyogle Turkeys in Round Two of the NRRRL U18 competition against Northern United.

    Riley Buchanan continued in the front row and as captain for the Northern Rivers Titans in the rescheduled Round Three Laurie Daley Cup match against the St George Dragons with Riley Buchanan making a long run in the 58th minute when after receiving a pass from his eight from Harry Chadburn who had taken an intercept Riley Buchanan rumbled through the centre of the field from five metres inside St George territory to thirty metres from the try line.

    Riley Buchanan had taken the second hit-up of the match to get the ball to the thirty metre mark. From the left of the play the ball in the 12th minute Riley Buchanan ran the ball through the centre of the field from eight metres inside his own territory to five metres into Dragons territory.

    Riley Buchanan was his usual self defensively in the 9th minute with a big front on hit on the Dragons left centre No. 4 to force a knock on forty metres from the try line.

    Round One of the 2024 Group Two U18 competition saw Zane Farrell named at hooker for the Grafton Ghosts in the local derby against the South Grafton Rebels.

    The young man from the Grafton Ghosts in Northern New South Wales played for a Titans U15 NRRRL Invitational side in late September 2022 against a Titans U14 Invitational selection at Tweed Heads alongside Ghosts team mate Beau Hartmann.

    In October 2022 Zane Farrell was named in the 2023 Northern Rivers Titans U16 Andrew Johns Cup squad.

    Round One of the 2023 U16 Andrew Johns Cup competition saw Zane Farrell named on the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans against the Newcastle Knights with Zane Farrell coming onto the field to operate in the dummy half role in the 29th minute of the match.

    Zane Farrell made a smart line break in the 58th minute when from forty two metres out from the try line Zane Farrell ran to his left out of dummy half and darted through the centre of the Knights defensive line with Zane Farrell getting to within ten metres of the try line before he was finally brought to ground.

    Zane Farrell made a desperate tackle on one of the Knights interchange front rowers (No. 16) who had burst through the Northern Rivers Titans defensive line with Zane Farrell preventing the front rower from making more ground by holding onto his right leg until defensive help arrived.

    Zane Farrell made another smart defensive play in the 50th minute when along with Riley Buchanan, Zane Farrell did very well to hold up one of the Knights interchange front rowers over the try line mid-way between the goal posts and corner post on the right side of the field.

    Then in the 55th minute once again Zane Farrell made a strong ball and all tackle, on this occasion on the Knight replacement hooker (No. 14) forty metres out from the Northern Rivers Titans try line.

    Zane Farrell was also named to start from the bench in Round Two against the Central Coast Roosters with Zane Farrell coming onto the field to operate in the dummy half role in the 37th minute and making his first run almost immediately when Zane Farrell ran to his right out of dummy half making eleven metres to get the ball five metres over the hallway mark.

    Zane Farrell also did well in the 55th minute when from twenty five metres out Zane Farrell ran to his right out of dummy half and after beating a number of tackles to get within ten metres of the try line, Zane Farrell’s smart off-load to his right to Banjora Porch who crossed the ball the try line near the left upright was ruled forward.

    Zane Farrell was also named on the bench for Round Three against the South Coast Dragons as well as in Round Four against the Northern Tigers with Zane Farrell once again operating in the dummy role when he came onto the field in the 24th minute.

    Zane Farrell then moved into the starting side at hooker in Round Five against the North Coast Bulldogs.

    Zane Farrell played for the Grafton Ghosts in the Group One U15 competition in 2022, starting at lock in all of his matches for the Ghosts and scoring twice. Zane Farrell’s first try of the 2022 Group One U15 season came in Round Six against the Clarence Coast Magpies and Zane Farrell also scored against the Magpies in the Ghosts tough extra time Preliminary Final loss.

    Ayden Byrnes continued at lock for the Northern Rivers Titans in the rescheduled Round Three Laurie Daley Cup match against the St George Dragons with Ayden Byrnes making the third run of the match from the right of the play the ball to get the ball from thirty metres to forty metres away from his try line. Also from the right of the play the ball in the 40th minute Ayden Byrnes ran the ball from the forty metre mark to the halfway mark.

    In the 10th minute from two passes to the left of the dummy half and forty metres from the try line Ayden Byrnes was able to force his way to within twenty nine metres of the try line. Then in the 24th minute after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half Ayden Byrnes anticipated the contact of two of the giant St George forwards and just as they were making contact with him Ayden Byrnes instinctively spun counter clockwise to beat both defenders and as a result Ayden Byrnes was able to run the ball from the halfway mark to forty metres from the try line.

    Kwinn Wolf continued from the bench for the Northern Rivers Titans in Round Four of the Laurie Daley Cup against the Northern Tigers and after coming onto the field and into the front row in the 45th minute Kwinn Wolf came close to scoring in the 47th minute with a charge to the left of a Northern Rivers penalty restart from twelve metres out only to be held up over the try line mid-way between the corner post and goal posts on the left side of the field.

    Kwinn Wolf continued off the bench in the rescheduled Round Three match against the St George Dragons and after coming onto the field to operate in the front row in the 20th minute Kwinn Wolf made his initial run almost immediately from two passes to the right of the play the ball to get the ball over the halfway mark. Then in the 41st minute from the right of the play the ball Kwinn Wolf carried the ball from five metres inside his own territory to ten metres into St George territory.

    After round one was washed out the Group 18 JRL competition kicked off over the weekend with Cooper Buchanan putting in an outstanding performance for the Tweed Heads Seagulls U14 side in their 52-8 victory over Cudgen Gold.

    In 2024 the PBC SHS Rugby League Excellence Program student Noxon O'Connor is playing for the Tweed Heads Seagulls U15 side in the Group 18 U15 competition with Nixon O’Connor dominating after starting in the front row In Round Two (Round One was rained out) in a 56 – 8 Seagulls victory against Cudgen Cold.

    Nixon O’Connor scored the first of his two tries in the first half when after running onto the ball to the left of the play the ball from fourteen metres out Nixon O’Connor broke three tackles as he crashed over to score under the posts.

    Nixon O’Connor scored his second try in the second half with a superb run from the left of the play the ball but on the right side of the field from thirty three metres out. Nixon O’Connor initially broke three tackles including by way of a clockwise spin with Nixon O’Connor breaking three more before Nixon O’Connor stepped off his left foot to beat the Hornets fullback and one other to score under the posts.

    Rico Waitititi was back to right centre for the Northern Rivers Titans in the rescheduled Round Three Laurie Daley Cup match against the St George Dragons with Ricco Waititi scoring in the

    Ricco Waitititi also recorded a line break assist in the 13th minute from two passes to the dummy half Ricco Waititi executed a blindingly quick catch and pass to his right to put his winger into space down the right touchline from thirty metres to within ten metres of the try line.

    In just the 2nd minute of the match after taking a St George bomb on the full twenty metres from his try line Ricco Waitititi did well to get an off-load away to his left. Then in the 65th minute from the right of the dummy half Ricco Waitititi did well to run the ball from on his own try line and make eleven metres.
