Hi mdrew, why is Treymain Spry so far down the pecking order? Does he need to find a new club to reach his potential?

He is still only 21 so still plenty of time mate. He will get a chance in the trials and then it is just about making the most of the oppo.

Great to see former Tugun Seahawks junior Charlie Hogg set get an opportunity with the Burleigh Bears Queensland Cup squad this coming season.

Former Helensvale Hornets junior rugby league front rower Ben Kay will provide some size to the Burleigh Bears Hastings Deering’s Colts forward pack with his 187cm and 114kg frame.

Fabulous to see multiple Gold Coast juniors in the Burleigh squad for the upcoming 2020 season.

2018 NRRRL First Grade Player of the season, Josh Patston will be a great addition to the Burleigh Bears 2020 Queensland Cup squad in 2020. The 21 year old 188cm, 102kg centre or second rower broke into the Northern Rivers Titans U23 side in 2019 making an immediately impact, with the former Lismore Marist Brothers junior now set to take the next step in his rugby league career with the Bears.

Former Nyngan fullback Brett Howard will add some attacking flair to the Burleigh Bears Queensland Cup side in 2020.

At 183cm and 91 kg the former NSW Indigenous U16 representative has the size to handle the rigours of the Queensland Cup.

Great to see former Titans linked 186cm, 100kg front rower Andrew Scougell in the Burleigh Queensland Cup squad for the upcoming 2020 season. The 21 year old front rower has been a very solid performer in the Hastings Deering’s Colts competition over the last couple of seasons for the Bears.

Basically mate they are the Titans contracted layers that are still Colts eligible and potentially a few U18. Players such as Toby Sexton, Jayden Campbell, Jed Edwards, Caleb Hodges, Tristian Powell, Solomon Torrens etc

Prior to his move to up Tweed Heads from Sydney to play for the Seagulls 2020 Queensland Cup side former Marcellin College Randwick student Ethan O’Neill spent five years in the Sydney Roosters junior system, playing the 2019 season in the NSWRL U20 Jersey Flegg competition.

From a trivia perspective, Ethan O’Neill is the son of former Brisbane Bronco’s and Queensland State of Origin fullback, Julian O’Neill.

For the Roosters in 2019, Ethan O’Neill played in twelve Jersey Flegg matches starting the season in the centres before moving to the second row in Round Twenty Two against the New Zealand Warriors and staying there for Round Twenty Four against the Rabbitohs.

Ethan O’Neill started the 2019 season off as the Roosters primary goal kicker, kicking seventeen from twenty (85% conversions rate) through the opening six rounds, before injury, including a six from seven effort in Round Two against the Manly Sea Eagles. Ethan O’Neill returned from injury in Round Fifteen against the Sea Eagles but did not take back the goal kicking duties upon his return.

Ethan O’Neill scored in Round Three against the Parramatta Eels and also scored in Round Twenty Two against the Warriors to account for his two 2019 Jersey Flegg tries.

The Titans have signed New Zealand youngster Jeremaiah Tamepo who recently moved to the Gold Coast to attend Keebra Park. The young centre turns 16 this year.
