I wouldn't doubt it for a second. Jamal was being courted by Athletics Australia to be a decathlete. He was a world ranked junior in throws I believe and you can't be that without some serious power. Those big shot-putters can really move over 100m for their size and Jamal was more Javelin and Discus. I think he still holds several junior athletics Australian records. Guys 6'5" don't look like they are moving all that quickly when they are. I reckon Jamal could do 11.22 on his day and will surprise us this season with his speed now his hip has been repaired.

Good point. Add to that the fact his father was a Nigerian sprinter. I'd believe that time.

Everyone seems to have forgetten about the match against Manly last year when he made a break courtesy to Scott Prince and he looked like an elephant hopping towards the tryline with that kind of speed.
