Default The Aftermath: Who is Prince's replacement after he retires?

My question is 'does the club have a plan after the retirement of Prince?' This question hit me on the head like a hammer after scrolling enthusiatically through the 'Who is Titans MVP?' thread. Now im starting to wonder. Most people believe Prince's contribution to the team is invaluable and his playmaking abilities are what drives the Titans forward. He is the orchestrator for most of our tries.

Prince is 32 years of age. At most he has 2 or possible even 3 years of competitive footy left in him. So who is the heir apparent to the throne of halfback for the Titans? Will the Titans ever be the same after the retirement of Prince? Lots of things will change within the Titans when Prince retires and im not too sure if the management is planning for the future.

Not in our ranks. I guess we will try and recruit a first class halfback. One of the next generation halves on the market.

But there is still time for us to internally develop such a player.

I am almost certain that Sezer will be our permanent 5/8.

I was thinking the exact way. I honestly think if the halves were Rankin/Sezer then their isnt enough class to score tries on a regular basis. And i dont think Carty can so called 'internally develop a player'. So the only option is probably to purchase a player. But the question is who?

Im a predicting that Prince will retire at the end of 2014. So we need a halfback in 2015. The halfbacks/five eighths that are off contract in 2015 are Terry Campese, Keiran Foran, James Maloney, Daly Cherry Evans, Chris Sandow and Luke Walsh. Can the Titans offer big money to Maloney, DCE or Foran?

By the time Princey comes to hang up the boots. JT will be looking for a better place (than Townsville) to wrap up his NRL career. So I'd say we'd have him on our books for 2-3 years..

He has been hinting on more than 1 occasion that next year will be his last.

Just trying to remember if I read some where that Beau Henry has been spoken about as Princes replacement? Can't see Carty developing a half so I would expect that we will bring another half to the club. Probably like to see DCE, Reynolds or Johnson from the Warriors.

    Ha. We will chase Sandow.

The McDonald's titans featuring Jamal, Taylor and Sandow.

Rankin derserves a shot. He was dealt with unfairly after the Tigers debacle.
I love Aiden Sezer so much I made his profile pic my avatar.

The Manly halves will feature in future grandfinals...thats who I'd be targeting.
Their price tag would be high but they play key positions...the NRL is full of back rowers and it would be the last position to worry about.

I think the original question was
does the club have a plan after the retirement of Prince?
    and the answer is no.

I fear that the forum will crash if we signed Sandow after Prince retires
