I hope they don't hook Rankin for this. For those blaming last night's loss solely on him need to go back and watch the game again. If anyone needs a vacation back to QLD cup it's Idris along with Peyroux. Can't believe we payed so much for that defensive liability Idris.

Which begs the question - where is Champion, so far our newly recruited centres have done zip, actually probably done worse than zip

I have only saw him play once, against the Roosters. The 20s got hammered but I kept a close eye on him. By my count he only got the ball twice from dummy half, didn't go looking for work even though the team was struggling. I dont know where his averages are coming from. For a twenties player to graduate to the NRL level he should be outstanding in his age level.

Yeah guys, the blame for this loss should by no means be attributed to Jordo. Don't get me wrong, he hardly had a perfect game, but he certainly doesn't deserve the flak he has copped in the earlier sections of this thread. It has very accurately been noted here we had far worse players on much bigger pay packets.

To be fair, I don't think anyone in this thread has blamed Rankin for the loss. Most seem to put the blame on Idris (which I agree with) and Graham (which I don't agree with).

I agree with your not agreeing.

Pay packets should have nothing to do with it...as they run on the field, they are 17 players all playing there're own role to win a football game.

Not only do fans get hung up on players they didn't want to sign...they also grow a hatred towards them and critisise them every game.

I agree he should be outstanding at his age level before going up, Q Cup is a very big step from under 20s...that's where he will be tested.

I feel for stinky, everytime he kicked there was noone there to block the tigers from charging him, hence his kicks went nowhere. We will get there.. one day

I just watched the replay this arvo. We were just as good and just as bad as the Tigers. Both teams could have/ should have scored 30 points, neither team deserved to win, and both teams showed how under performing they are.

Anyway, wraps to Mini. He probably played his best game since maybe 2009. I can't remember the last time I saw him make such good breaks followed by good offloads. The reason is he ran some angles rather than trying to bust through 3 defenders and try and get an impossible pass away, like he has been doing for the past couple of years.

Rankin was fine, better than anyone is really giving him credit for. I don't think anyone played badly, and even our most consistent performers seemed to make some strange and unusual errors, but both teams were doing it, so I can't really explain it.

Except for Idris who really did very little of anything, except for LAZY errors which which was probably the difference between the teams.

Idris is not an impact player off the bench. We didn't buy him for that. He isn't out there just to do the odd hit up, when it suits him. Same as he isn't there to do a big hit in defence only when someone actually runs at him. He is a ridiculously expensive player who needs to bring something more to the team. He should be put on notice, put on a diet and put on a proper training/cardio regime. And maybe given a pay cut pending a better performance.

He is sloppy, lazy and the most overpaid and under-performing player in the NRL at the moment IMO. I'd take Peyroux over Idris without any question. At least Peyroux looks like he wants to be out there and goes looking for work.

I could have just said "+1" and saved myself the rant above.

If you can't see potential in idris then there is something wrong.
Our game plan should heavily feature Idis hitting lines off his halves or providing one on one situations with room.

This 'he should go looking for the ball' is a load of sh!t in todays structured game.
They train all week together and should know what play to put on depending on what part of the field.
