Turning point was in the final 2 minutes where we decided to go in 'go slow' mode. Tigers were always going to get at least one more set.

We needed quick play the balls, wreck their defensive line, get a good kick away. Prefereably through the back of the dead ball line. Dictate terms.
Instead we allow there defense to set, kick charged down, game freakin' over!!

First half was good though, we actually looked like a team. First half is something to build on, defensively we were great in the second, but the kicking game completely collapsed.

To be honest Toads I'm not sure there are many positives to be taken from that. The Tigers pretty much did everything they could to lose and we still got rolled... even after going ahead 14- zip.

Yeah, no doubt. The Tiggers were off tonight. Though at moments we did seem to control the game (something I didn't notice against the Broncs), mainly in the first half. But as usual, silly mistakes crept into our game in the second.

That's pretty well the reason that I choose to say nothing in this thread during the game. Because it was half expected that we'd give it all up again in the final 40 minutes. If we broke away to a 30 point lead in the first half (stuff dreams are made of), I would've responded in this thread a lot earlier..

If we were playing sevens we'd probably be quite happy with this season.

we cant play under pressure. Simple as that. We should have been able to kick into touch in the dying seconds and hold onto the footy but we seem to make errors during wrong times. Also there were too many charge downs of kicks.

I love Prince but i think his dominance in the halves overshadows Sezer. If we blood our youth now it will be great for us in the future. We should put Rankin at halfback and Sezer at 5/8.

Sezer had a great game. Rankin showed glimpses. If we work with this then we will be great for the future. But Carty will probably pick Zillman in the halves...
