Menzies double gets Dragons roaring
AAP Tue, Apr 10, 2012 - 4:11 AM
Former Australia international Steve Menzies and New Zealander Setaimata Sa both scored try doubles as Catalan Dragons stole a Super League march on Warrington on Easter Monday.
The 38-year-old menzies, who made nearly 300 appearances in two spells at Manly, touched down in both halves as the French club cruised to a 44-16 win.
Sa scored twice after the break to help lift the Dragons to a third straight win and into third place on the ladder, a point clear of Wolves.
Nathan Brown's Huddersfield remained top after a 22-4 win over Hull, also their third win in a row.
Wigan replaced Hull in second place thanks to a 36-6 thrashing of Wakefield.
Leeds recovered from their narrow defeat by administration-threatened Bradford last time out to embarrass London Broncos 52-10.
Ryan Hall crossed four times for the World Club champions and Ben Jones-Bishop scored twice in the first half.
Bradford once more put off their off-field problems to one side with a 38-4 win at Widnes.
