it would b intersting but i highly doubt they would implement it even tho most of the players should b back playing mini or mod footy coz they act like kidsOriginally Posted by Chaos
I'll ;ike to see contests for the ball in scrums and playthe ballls
I wouldnt want the scrum to be a contest. The scrum I think in todays game is the perfect way to have a set piece with half the team not involved. I would like to see the forwards lookeed into the scrumm a few seconds more to give the backs more time to put on a play.Originally Posted by Teegy
I would like to see a contest at the play the ball though as one of my pet hates in the game is poor ball security and this would ensure they are a little more careful with what they do with it.

I am campaigning for the introduction of the Punch Qouta in League:
Each player is allowed to dish out 30 punches across the season. For rivalry games ie. Saints vs Sharks, each player is credited with another 2 punches each...
When they players like Utai everyone is allowed another punch each.
Just think about the possibilities... Kylie Leulali and Carl Webb would be out of punches after the first round... it would add so much more excitment to the game.

i think the scrums are useless now, the ball gets feed in 1 leg comes out the other, most the time the hooker isnt even striking for it. waste of time, the only thing good bout it is the props get a breather thats bout it. should just be a change over like they have on the last tackleOriginally Posted by Dakink
Scrums seem useless because players don't take advantage, if they did, it would make more sense to have them. Scrums are meant to be a good attacking opportunity, but teams don't make anything of them, well hardly.
Brisbane BroncosOooooh Yeh, Yow Yeh!!!titans.bulldogs
everybody dances to their own boom boom
The scrum shouldnt be a contest. Then it gives the team that made a mistake a chance at getting the ball back. and rarely does a deecnt play ever come from a scrum...more often then not the ball is pushed out then 1 or 2 passes wide the attacker gets tackled....its a waste of time.

Scrums are a waste of time it should be a tap if they are not contested
Scrums need to be more contested i belive, i mean we saw it with the cowboys last year agaisnt the bulldogs and i loved it, it can be used as like a surprise tatic, scrums wern't designed to be a set play and they shouldn't be. CONTEST THE SCRUM!
but why should the team that made the mistake get another shot at getting the ball????? its stupid , you shouldnt be rewarding mistakes.Originally Posted by Shadow XL
It should be a tap and play from there IMO.
Scrums as they are now in the NRL are a waste of time. Refereing Junior football you make sure they place the ball in the tunnel and the hookers are the only ones able to strike for the ball.
What the NRL are doing is making the hooker role obsolete there for it is no longer a specialist position.
Bring back the days when we would see the team without the loose head making the big push to win the scrum and lift the teams momentum in a game.
Also referees should learn the use of differential penalties. Incorect feed, Props not packing into the scrum properl, Locks leaving early ect. All problems our game faces and must be looked at and corrected to comply with the ARL law book.
