Any Laws/rules you aren't sure of or are there some u think should'nt be in the game or maybe there is something u might like to see added to the game, express you self here.

Nice thread - I would like to see a little more of the onus placed on the ball carrier to maintain ball security. Some players lose it way to easily knowing that they will be given a penalty.Originally Posted by Titan In Newcastle

thanks, im a ref so i love *****ing bout laws of the game, lol refs ***** good we make good politicains if thats possible.Originally Posted by Dakink
but yeah good point, its just too easy for the ball carrier to milk a penalty in that area of the tackle, the onus should be put back to the ball carrier to protect it, the game has got soft in that aspect over the years i have been following league
That includes the play the ball. If the player is trying to play it to quick and muffs it he loses it.

I like the point Gould made in the Dragons/Tigers game.
With such a grey area around the player being held and not held, it's not fair that Tigers were awarded a penalty when Barrett went to run after being held.
I agree he was held.
Barrett made a mistake but stopping him and making him play the ball back on the mark is enough of a penalty. They lose the roll they started.
fair enough comment i spose.Originally Posted by Chaos

its a 50-50 call coz u get players like e.g barrett who loves to try and milk it making out they havent heard the ref, it just isnt that hard when ur on the field. but a play the ball would have been good, stop the roll on slow it down for the tigers which i think is plenty of advantage for the tigers. and penalies the dragons for not listening good enough
if they are trying for the quick roll on and they dont place the ball correctly on the ground and thumble it thats there own stupidity they have to pick the ball off the ground and then place it on the ground CORRECTLY to play it other wise lost control and scrum to defending side, fair enough rule i reckonOriginally Posted by Dakink
I think penalties should be given for Players who take a dive. For example Barett against the Sharks AND Tigers when he was pushed on his ass for standing over the guy playing the ball.
Also I hate the scrums of today. Half the time a Prop sticks a leg out out it never even enters the scrum.
I meant you see some players trying to play it to quickly with poor ball security and it taps the tackler and because they arent really holding it it pops out and they get the penalty. Shold be their own fault for not respecting the ballOriginally Posted by Titan In Newcastle

I think the guy with the ball tries to gain extra ground before he plays it.
personally i thought that was great from vagana laying barrett out on his back side, a memorable moment for meOriginally Posted by Inferno
I have a hypothetical rule?I know this won?t get changed but it sounded like fun to me.
Rule: Every player can only have one kick at goal per game (excluding field goals)
Have a think about it?you could use your best kicker first goal, second best next, third next and so on?
or
You could save your best for a harder kick.
Think of the tactics used!
on the light side...ild like to see every player that commits a penalty do 10 push ups before getting back into play.
on a serious note- i think the vid ref should be allowed to rule on forward passes.
in mini and mod league which are for the little kiddies, they can only have 1 kick till the whole team has had a kick then they keep rotating. they need to have a fun comp that goes for a couple of weeks in the off season with fun rules and sumthing different bit of a training run for em alsoOriginally Posted by Chaos
the problem with that is the video evidence isin't always conclusive, unless your right in line its very hard to judge on them, different camera angles show different things.
