I'm totally with Broncosgirl on this one.
Todays scrum is the best chance a team has to score a try and teams don't take advantage of it.
Tigers produced some good attacking moves near the end of the year and I think they will try some more in the GF, if they get a chance.

One simple idea, is to get the fastest accelarating player to pack in at lock.
Just pick the ball up and run, there's no way a forward could keep up without being off side.
Another tactic could be to hold the ball in the scrum and if the opposition break too soon, you could gain a penalty.

That leads to my next point, the refs should be more harsh on players breaking from the scrum too early.

Bring back the days when we would see the team without the loose head making the big push to win the scrum and lift the teams momentum in a game.

Also referees should learn the use of differential penalties. Incorect feed, Props not packing into the scrum properl, Locks leaving early ect. All problems our game faces and must be looked at and corrected to comply with the ARL law book.
well said mate, couldnt have said it better my self

Without contested scrums the better thing to do is just give the team a tap. quicker and teams can still run a set play

the post is there so the refs can adjudicate on weather or not when a ball has been kicked if the ball went out in the field of play or if it went dead in-goal. If that was taken away you wouldnt know where the ball went out. Its easy to say 'use the vid ref' but you cant stop the game every kick to go to the vid ref the game would go for 6 hours.

I hate players walking foward (and crawling) off the mark, to put markers offside.
Then the marker getting pinged for not being square...........S*#t's me.

    Dakink,
That try was the perfect example, Marshall out paced the guy marking him and the next defended had to come in.
Hodgson did hit the hole well.
