I think the lads are a good chance this week.
By and large they didn't look bad last weekend. Sure Bird is going to be a big loss but with Idris back it does give them a different option.

Once again it is vital that we get a strong crowd.

Mead, Idris return for Titans
The Gold Coast Titans received some rare good news on Tuesday, with star duo David Mead and Jamal Idris set to return from injury while Greg Bird's foot injury is not as bad as first thought.
Bird injured his foot while attempting a kick in Sunday's loss to Canterbury, with fears he faced a lengthy stint on the sideline.
And while scans revealed he had suffered a torn ankle ligament, the Titans are hopeful the NSW representative could miss as few as two matches.
The Titans are resigned to losing Bird for their upcoming games against Sydney Roosters and Manly, and have eyed their round eight clash with Brisbane, after the representative round bye, for his potential return.
"He's got a tear in a ligament in his ankle - so it's around the 4-6 week mark but hopefully we'll get him back after the bye," coach John Cartwright said.
The news is better for Mead, Idris and back-rower Mark Minichiello, who will all face fitness tests but have been named to face the Roosters at Skilled Park on Sunday.
Both Mead (broken jaw) and Idris (hamstring) have not played since round two, while Minichiello suffered an ankle injury against the Bulldogs.
"We're hopeful," Cartwright said.
"We won't really know until closer to the weekend but if those guys get through the rest of the week, that's the side we'll run with."
With Bird sidelined, Jordan Rankin returns at five-eighth while bench hooker Kayne Lawton will miss up to six weeks after injuring his hamstring.

Once a stonehead always a stonehead and ours has a 5 year contract ... geez. An unfit Flash and even more tentative Mead plus Michael's and Zillman ... double geez.
Four reasons to escape to Queensland: Sun, Surf, Sand & the Titans.
I like your team, but isn't Idris and Mead coming back?
Clearly Srama for the full 80, if possible.
I hear you about Dom, and IMO Zillman is not getting enough support from his wingers which isn't helping him with other options or keeping the opposition guessing. Easy to shut down a hole runner if no hole is opening up. I still think Zillman is our FB. I haven't got any real issues with him.
Let me put it another way; Zillman is not the reason we are 1-4.
Oh, and this is a game we should win by 13+. If we can't crack this then our season is over. We were better than Canterbury while Srama was on, and even though we've lost Bird, we have Idris returning, so I'd say we have just as much attacking muscle and more scoring opportunity. We were 12 points better than Canterbury, probably more actually, and there is no Barba out there.
Should have been 12-18 over Canterbury, should be at least 13+ over Rooters. That's where my money will be going.

Sezer should be on the bench for sure, but why are you guys putting him into the run on team is beyond me.. he has never played first grade. For all we know he could be a pansy and do nuttin

The Dom / Michaels debate is almost moot.
Injuries pending we are close to fielding our best team next week.
Mead Gordon zillman champion all back and Jamal should be ok after a run off the bench this week.
Rankin and prince in halves, rankin has been good and prince is improving rapidly each week.
mini is out, so that solves that problem and Douglas and Myles can start.
And Lawton is injured so we get Srama for 80 which we all agree is best.
Downside is bird is injured, and Sezer is not in the team yet, but we are close to seeing what our best side can do.... I excited.
From the little I have seen of Sezer he's no pansy and has plenty to offer in both attack and defence. Can't cop Dom being dropped before Michaels. Peyroux has done a great job while Michaels only so so. Idris only playing for 60 mins isnt a bad thing but really though the opportunity to bring Sezer has been missed. Sezer is a far better option than Michaels or Peyroux. I would be playing Sezer at 6, Rankin at 1 and Zillman at left centre where he should stay. Cartwright is once again not thinking through the possibilities and remains trapped by Zillman at fullback and champion at right centre. Part of Jamal's injury problem could be because he's bein played on the wrong side.
Geese are the ultimate team players.
They honk to encourage one another!
Peyroux dropped for micheals?
come on... wat a dud call... carty has to start picking other players bar for the same old.
i am seriously getting tired of this. iam fine for the rankin at 5/8 instead of sezer. but dom is such a better player then steve
i would like to mellow sezer in and let him float around first then go from there, but carty being carty , i wonder how many times he changes his undies
