Murphy To Lead Australian Team
AUSTRALIAN Jillaroos will play New Zealand Kiwi Ferns on Saturday October 15 at Runaway Bay, as part of the Polyfest Pacific Challenge.
Veteran halfback Karyn Murphy will again lead the national side, one of 11 Queensland players selected in the side.
Currently ranked second in the world, the Jillaroos are desperate to defeat the top-ranked Kiwi Ferns.
The Jillaroos will be high on confidence after a very successful tour of Samoa earlier this month, defeating the Samoan Patron?s XIII 20-16, and the national team, Fetu Samoa 42-14 in a week-long campaign.
Murphy was awarded Player of the Match in both games.
