Default Cricket: SA vs Sri Lanka

    Cricket: SA vs Sri Lanka

Anyone give Sri Lanka a chance?

I do and have taken the $3 on offer from SportsTab and as of right now they are coasting along at 1 for 92 of 15.1 overs.

    Go the Sri Lankans!!!!

At this early stage they are looking at a score of well over 300 which won't be an easy chase under the Gabba lights.

Congrats to the SL who have absolutely smashed SA picking up the bonus point as well. This puts SL to the top of the table with Australia.

Stupid play from the SA's at the end of the innings when all hopes of a win were lost. The right idea was to stick around aiming for to exceed 225 so as SL did not pick up the bonus point.

Graham Smith now has something like a 0-6 captaincy record against Sri Lanka, he'll be starting to wonder if he's ever going to beat them.

Well Smith has a couple more chances to beat them while he's here. Is anyone willing to put $$$ on an AUS - SL finals series yet? I would atm, heard on the radio (Nova 969) that Jacques Kallis is going to be flown home due to a recurrance of that tennis elbow he was suffering. A big blow for the Proteas.

Well done to Sri Lanka for making this VB Series a true competition.. it was a stellar performance from them last night and showed they will be no easy beats..

Interesting point came up last night and that is that in 3 games of the VB Series, the losing captain at the toss has won the game.. bags not winning the toss anytime in the near future.. LOL..

Has anyone else noticed that the makers of Murali's shirts keep on misspelling his name? They have it as 'Muralidaran' when it is 'Muralitharan'. It happened in the Super Series and it happened again in the VB series.

Yeah i have noticed that as well

It's maybe because Tony Greig keeps mis pronouncing his surname and just usually likes to call him Murali.

    both spellings are correct.

his name is a tamil one and they use the same letter for the 'tha' and 'dha' sounds. Most of the media spells it Muralitharan but Murali spells it Muralidaran. It's just a varient spelling.
