Patison names NYC team to face Canberra

Jetstar Gold Coast Titans NYC coach Rod Patison has named his team to take on Canberra on Saturday night.

Fullback Peter Norman is out of the side that was defeated by the Storm in a thrilling match 22-20 last weekend. Shaun Carney has been promoted from the bench to start at fullback, with Mitch Ardler added to the bench.

This week they face another stern test against an under-performing Canberra side, but if they are able to take it to the Raiders as they did to the fourth placed Storm last week, they will be in with a big chance.

The Titans forward pack stood up last week against he challenge of the Storm, with Luke Page (126m), Sam Saville (122m), Blake Anderson (101m), Sam Ross (115m) and Tom Dawney (124m) all breaking the 100m gained barrier.

Saville in particular was lethal, with his 122m coming from just nine hit-ups, including nine tackle breaks, two line-breaks and a try-assist.

In addition to that, Sam Meskell made a team-high 42 tackles, while Hymel Hunt grabbed two tries to compliment his 109m in attack.

This week's opponents in Canberra put the cleaners through the Rabbitohs last week, but have made a few changes to the team that won last week.

Be sure to get out to Skilled Park early on Saturday and cheer on the next batch of Titans superstars. Kick-off is at 3:15pm, and you can get your tickets here.

Great effort boys, You are getting it all together now. Keep up the hard work it is paying off. Loved handing Canberra a touchup like that, especially when they would have been thinking that they were up here to hand you your ass?s.
To the LEGION, your support was fantastic, you make the day at the footy a bloody ball.

Yup, our NYC lads set the stage for what was a great night all round. Even managed to crawl themselves off the bottom of the ladder as well.
