Kevin Moore sacked

Another coach is sacked, after receiving assurances from the board his job was safe (yep, I know, as soon as you have "the full support of the board" you are gone next week).

He has left, effective immediately (according to "The Game Plan" tonight).

My question is this: is a poor performance from a strong playing roster the fault of the coach, the players or something else?

We would all probably agree a coach like Wayne Bennett has shown that a good coach can turn around a clubs fortunes, but it is always the coach who gets the chop.

Justified, or lamb to the slaughter?

This question hits close to home!
So many reasons why a 'team' can perform badly, coach being just one of them - but the one who more often than not takes the fall, fair or not.
You'd have to know what goes on behind the scenes to judge whether sacking the coach would be fair or not, and how many people are privy to that?????

Very sad to see this happen. It doesnt help clubs chew through greats and see them exiled.

There needs to be more effort put into preserving them. It's a sad day for Canterbury. Should have at least stuck out till the end of the season.

It just makes FULL SUPPORT OF THE BOARD seem even more ridiculous than it was 2 weeks ago.
