It has been said many times on here but the recent lack of attacking options inside the opponent's 20m zone is really worrying and looking at a backs coach seems to be something we desperately need. I know princey's defence has been poor but that would be a lot easier to deal with if his attacking kicks were a lot better. Also need a bit of depth when using our backline.

Well I reckon that the last tackle kicks should be shared among Prince, Presto, Srama, Bird and even Zillman (if he wants to be a 5/8 anyway), just to give more uncertainty to the opposition, and I also reckon that the chasers are not showing enough urgency to get to the ball.

    Bird returns to tackle Sharks
    Adam Gardini | 21/06/2011 1:02:05 PM

NSW State of Origin representative Greg Bird will make a timely return to the Jetstar Gold Coast Titans’ starting line-up for Saturday night’s home clash against his former club the Cronulla Sharks at Skilled Park.

Jetstar Titans Coach John Cartwright today named Bird in the back row and forwards Luke O’Dwyer and Brenton Lawrence on an extended six-man bench to take on the Sharks in the wake of last Friday night’s disappointing 31-8 loss to the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Bird, who spent seven seasons with the Sharks from 2002-08, missed the Rabbitohs clash after being unable to back-up due to soreness following the second Origin match last Wednesday night but returns to add some grunt in both attack and defence.

In other team changes, back rower Anthony Laffranchi will push up into the front row while utility O’Dwyer and prop Brenton Lawrence, who has been playing for Queensland Cup feeder club Burleigh Bears, have been named on an interchange bench with two to be omitted.

The Jetstar Titans have won three from six match matches against the Sharks, with those three wins all coming in matches played on the Gold Coast.

I apologize for not putting my hand-up for this little task but I just couldn't get a flight back from China in time so would somebody please meet the Sharks bus when it arrives and "cap" Nathan Gardner's left knee (or right if you can't get the left would suffice) and using the pick handle I left buried near the side entrance, greet Paul Gallen as he deserves.

    Thanks in advance.

If Henry got a run, well lets just say we would lose end of story.

I reckon chuck Henry on the bench and give him a trial, see how he gels with Prince, and he doesn't work out he can always be taken off I suppose

Did Toops go to trial or wasnt the elbow incident taken any further?

With what I saw I would have thought he would be sitting out a few weeks
