"You make sure they remember, *forever*, the night they played the Titans!"
Mini hits the 100 mark without fanfare
MARK Minichiello will not have a bar of the "Do it for Mini" talk.
The dogged back-rower will become only the second Titan to rack up 100 games for the club when he lines up against St George Illawarra in Sydney on Friday night.
But he says any turnaround in the Titans fortunes will come from a playing group striving for a collective goal, not in a one-off effort for an individual.
"I don't even think that'll be mentioned, I think we just have to start winning," Minichiello said.
"It's not 'do it for me' at all. We have to start winning as a club, so that won't even come into the fold."
A foundation Titan, Minichiello becomes the second player after injured hooker Nathan Friend to rack up a ton for the club.
"One hundred games is great. I've tried to be loyal to the club and I've played a few games for them now and hopefully a few more," he said.
Coach John Cartwright paid tribute to Minichiello's development since arriving on the Coast.
"He came to us probably as a bit of a bench player from Souths ... and established himself, played City Origin for the last three years," Cartwright said.
"He deserves all the rewards he gets."
Minichiello said victory for the club was more important than for his own satisfaction.
"We've trained well this week and at the halfway point of the competition, if we're going to do anything this year, it has to start this week," he said.
"It'd be great to get a win against the premiers and I think we've done enough this week to go into the game pretty confident."
