Default Campbell set to return for Titans

Veteran Preston Campbell looks set to make a welcome comeback for the Gold Coast Titans in their NRL clash with Sydney Roosters at Skilled Park on Saturday night.

Campbell, who has missed the past month with a knee injury, moved freely at training on Friday and will be given until the last minute to confirm his fitness.

But Titans coach John Cartwright sounded confident that Campbell would slot into their must win game.

Campbell is set to replace Luke Capewell at fullback.

The Titans have missed Campbell's experience, slumping to a 2-5 season start.

Preston Campbell back to boost Gold Coast Titans against Sydney Roosters

THE Gold Coast Titans have been boosted by the return of inspirational utility Preston Campbell for their clash with the Sydney Roosters at Skilled Park tomorrow night.

Campbell, who has been out of action with a knee injury since round four, was cleared to return after completing a training session on the Gold Coast this morning.

He set to start at fullback against the Roosters, with former Rabbitoh Luke Capewell dropped as the Titans look to record their third win of the season.

Gives me a bit more confidence!

Still would rather Zillman at FB, Bird at 5/8 and Campbell coming on for impact at 5/8 shifting Bird into the back row.

    Same.

That way Laffranchi can start in the second-row(when he returns).
