Where are the Queenslanders grown players?

What is it with us and buying Nsw grown players?

Bulldogs wanted to get off the bottom they recruited Stagg, Hannet, Barba, ect
Stg recruited Bennett, Boyd, Smith, Costigan ect
Storm with Slater, Cronk, Smith, ect
Bunnies with Taylor, Inglis, Crocker ect
Sharks with J.Smith, ect
Cowboys Johnson, Tate, Tonga ect

Teams know that to boost a team, they should be recruiting and playing Queensland grown players, even Kiwis that are grown from here.

Why are we not doing this?, we are in a prime position to do this. Why are we so hell bent in filling our squad with roaches, and then surprised when they show no ticker?

Get some Qlders in there please.....

Look i dont mind those players, but when the heat is on, i get scared when any of them except Bailey has the ball.
Get some real Qld blood in there, we all know the best players for our club have been Friend, Myers, Harrision.

Yet we are losing Friend, and maybe Myers and Tonga, maybe Tomane, and getting what? Champion, and Idris and Douglas, 3 more roaches?

Its in our DNA. while you guys are watching the Mardi Gras, and sipping lattes with your buddies, we are playing footy, on dirt tracks with bindies, and sheering sheep, and cutting wood. They bread them tough up here, something we are lacking.

In all seriousness though, it is hard to pick up QLD talent when they will often take pay cuts to play for the Broncos or Cowboys. That or they move to the cashed up glamour clubs in Sydney.

This is my point, we are a QLD team. since when did the border move and make us a Newcastle type side? Time to show where the GC is, and start using local QLD talent. There seems to be a shut out between the QRL and the Titans, we need more gritty type players and less over hyped newspaper adverts.

We are a QLD team and we should be getting alot more Queenslanders coming through. Look at the Broncos success in blooding young Queenslanders.

We hold an advantage when chasing them because many want to return to QLD or be close to family.

But aside from young players I don't know much about, I don't know many Queenslanders that I would sign. Well ones that would be realistic.
