I don't see why the Titans have enough cash to chase the likes of Inglis and Idris yet not have the extra $100k to offer the rock of the team? In all honesty Nathan Friend is your most important player. More important than Prince, Bird, Bailey, Harrison and Campbell. The loss of Friend will leave a huge hole in the team next year and will require a big restructure in how the Titans operate on the field. Not sure I would be willing to allow that to happen considering that Brown is the next hooker in line for the job.

Well I hate to say it because I love the bloke and he is a awesome player, but if you break it down he has not played in any rep teams and most likely never will, he would be worth about 250k at the top end IMO.

Maybe 200k over 3 years

Its obviously a blatant popularity/money grab, management think that if we spend the big money on the likes of Jamal Idris and others, they'll boost the crowds and eventually get a great deal of money and also a lot more media exposure. They forget one thing, those crowds wont turn up every week if the team is losing, and if the team is losing, their will be no media exposure.... They really need to take their heads out of their asses and understand that Friendy is a much bigger priority then anyone else at this time.

He was a Nerang Roosters junior and is contract with the Panthers until 2013. If no rabbit comes out of the hat today and Friendly is lost to us, they are likely to thrown Srama, or even Lawton, in the deep end next year.

Good on Friendy for taking the lead in the negotiations. He has learnt from last time that he wont sit back and hope.

Im not at all upset about him possibly going, lets see how his form is this year. He doesnt have that many years left in him and there are always good up and coming youngsters popping up all the time.

with Presto retiring at the end of season, surely the club would be cashed up and able to throw a few more $ at the (in my opinion) the main playmaker.
