What's wrong with Bodene? He's offered alot more at center than Toopi or Taga.
Canberra sent all their traffic down his side on Saturday. Bodene and Laffranchi had to make nearly 90 tackles between them compared to Mini & Tonga's 28 on the other side.
In attack he muscled over for a try, made plenty of tackle breaks and a couple of line breaks & offloads.
What is Taga or Toopi gonna provide that Bodene isn't?

Taga has looked slow and disinterested the last couple of weeks and has missed some important tackles. Have a look at a stats sheet and you'll see why Thompson is so important ahead of Toopi and Taga. He makes 3 times a's many tackles and is mopping up the deficiencies inside him. He hasn't been setting it alight in attack, but he could've been had Zillman let a couple of passes go against the Broncos. I don't know why we want to move Big Bo unless we have a strike centre/winger that we intend on using hiding somewhere. If we're not going to score them, let's at least stop them.
Geese are the ultimate team players.
They honk to encourage one another!
Word on the street is Carty's going to reward Brown with a spot on the bench.. Taking Campbell's spot.
Cant believe people are writing off Thompson. Hes been our most consistant player yet, plus hes still young and got heaps to look forward to.
Have you all forgotten Delaney?
Life isnt about finding yourself, Life is about creating yourself!
Well said.
Nice team that and it looks to be similar to what most are going with. As pointed out to me by another forum member though, do either Capewell or Zillman possess a kicking game. They could do, I didn't realise Bird had one until the weekend. Even if they rush Prince back in I think who ever is the other half will be doing all the kicking because his hammy will fall apart again if he does.
There is one 1 or 2 calling for his head.

THE expected return of Nathan Friend to the Titans line-up could be tempered by the loss of Greg Bird with the Coast's five-eighth in danger of missing a week through suspension.
Bird, who was the hero of the Titans' drought-breaking golden-point victory in Canberra on Saturday, was today hit with a grade one striking charge for a 66th -minute incident involving Raiders halfback Matt Orford.
The charge carries a one-week suspension even with an early guilty plea, which means the Titans could go into Friday night's match against the Cowboys in Townsville without both of their first-choice halves.
Skipper Scott Prince revealed today he remained uncertain for the Cowboys clash after being a late scratching from the Titans' stirring win over the Raiders with a hamstring injury.
The Gold Coast will at least welcome back inspirational hooker Friend for his first match of the season against North Queensland.
With the Titans breaking through for their first win without Friend in eight matches against Canberra on the weekend, the recall of the 30-year-old will provide a lift for the Titans when they search for back-to-back victories against an equally desperate Cowboys unit.
Prince said the return of Friend and the consistent Ash Harrison, who is tipped to win back his spot after missing the Canberra trip with injury, will provide more punch.
And if Prince is passed fit from a hamstring strain that also forced him out of the Raiders win, the Titans will field its strongest squad this season.
"I think having some key players back will give us a boost of confidence and fingers crossed they can get through the week at training," he said.
"We'll take a lot out of the win but we can't rest on that. We have to use it as a springboard for the rest of our season and it's important we back it up and not fall back in that comfort zone and expect things to happen."
Anthony Laffranchi, who crossed in the 80th minute to force the Canberra contest in golden-point extra-time, agreed, adding the incentive of last weekend's win was proving no challenge was too great.

I haven't much of Capewell at all. The only other option would be Rankin - but how well has he been going in the U20's squad
Bird did abit of kicking for the Sharks, pretty the same what he showed on Saturday. Looks like we are resigned to losing him, but there no harm in fighting the charge and seeing what happens. What other halves options do we have kicking wise? Maybe Harro can long kick from #13????
Same person who calls for 4-5 heads after every match regardless of performance

Friendy is another player that has a kicking game , probably more short than long but he will be taking some of the pressure off the halves.. i'm really looking forward to Capewell have a crack at steering the ship around the park as he looked excellent playing 7 at Coff's when Prince left the field for the final 1/4

Predicting this lineup to be named:
1. Zillman
2. Michaels
3. Tonga
4. Thompson
5. Mead
6. Capewell
7. Prince
8. White
9. Friend
10. Bailey

14. James
15. Meyers
16. Ridge/Taga
17. Brown
nothings wrong with bodene i just think he has better value as a bench 2nd rower or starting 2nd rower, we have a lot of backs in our feeder clubs and the titans system to use another centre while retaining bodene as a 2nd rower.
i think bird should continue doing the kicking because he has big kicks that are very very good, and yes tomane would be good on the wing, mead at fullback is also a good option with zillman at 5/8
Anyone know if its a new heritage strip for this year?? Heritage round this week..
No Harro this week. Direct from his twitter account
Not meant to be this wk. Will build up again next week and see how she pulls up #stillabittwingie
