Yes, that defence from Tomane was terrible.
But I remember the game where Vatuvei couldn't catch a ball and people never wanted him back as well.
I bet those same people are glad now that they didn't exile Vatuvei forever because of a terrible performance early in his career...there are special talents that are worth persevering with.
Did anyone watch Glen Fisiiahi bounce back from his Round 1 embarrassment yesterday by scoring a double?
i like mead at fullback, i noticed against the raiders he came looking for the ball a bit whilst playing fullback so i would swap him and zilly between wing and fullback
i think we need capewell on the bench to play a bit of hooker/fullback with zilly moving to 5/8th
And from the Jets match reports on the weekend:
http://www.qt.com.au/story/2011/04/0...jets-fly-high/On-loan Gold Coast Titans centre Tomane was brilliant for the Jets, scoring two tries and setting up Luke Walker for his two four-pointers.
Walker said he would love to play outside the 106 kilogram centre again.
“He’s a big strike centre that’s very hard to handle,” Walker said.
“Fingers crossed next week I’m in the team and next to him because he makes life easy for you.”
http://www.sunshinecoastdaily.com.au...-rugby-league/“Tomane caused a bit of havoc down our right side and it’s hard coming up against guys who are full-time NRL players.
“There’s no excuse really, but you can see the difference in some players.”
Tomane and his right side partner Luke Walker bagged a double each for the Jets with Capewell also crossing the white line.

Im the biggest Mead and Michaels nuthgger on here but Zilly has been playing pretty good.
Its disturbing how much ball the wingers and even the sides centres DONT get. It is hard to be a fan of their play when it is so forward dominated. Use the ball you boring peanuts.
yeah thats right, anyone notice that for the last year and a bit our forwards having scored most of our tries, not a single back(birds a lock really) scored a try vs the raiders? mead and the backs should have heaps of tries with their speed and talent but they never get the ball
Only one charge so far from Round Four - Gold Coast Titans player, Greg Bird, was charged with Striking. He will miss one week regardless as to whether he takes an early plea (112 points) or is found guilty (150 points).

1. Mead
6. Zillman
Should be trialled this week, and it could definitely be a long-term option.
If birdys out offers up a few interesting possibilities
1. Zillman to 5/8 - mead to fullback/ Tomane to wing?
2. Capewell straight swap?
3. Zillman to 5/8 and capewell to fullback. He was apparently sensational at 1 for ippy on the weekend
4. Rankin comes in?
Alot of possibilities
Now that Bird is out Capewell should get another shot but i wouldn't be surprised if Carty throws Harro in so he can keep Ridge in the starting squad
