Capewell looked nervous, even in the warm up he looked a bit shaky. Once on the field he looked as if he was not sure just where he fit into the attacking plays. When he got the ball and didnt feel pressured to pass it he looked dangerous, quick off the mark and great footwork. I feel that after a few more games and he gets comfortable in the 6 he will improve and gel with princey more.

Michaels and Bird seemed to have the impression that they could run over soward and gasnier every run. These two need to learn to pass! We had some great sweeping backline movements to the left, yet Gordon did not get the ball in his hands once? As said earlier, we need to get it out the back to the fullback to create the extra man and give our wingers more ball and space.

Overall our defence was pretty good, only our kick defence let us down. The dragons just seemed to be more committed to getting up and catching the ball, admittedly it is hard to stop creagh and such in the air with momentum.

Cant wait for next weeks match now!

Soward's kicking was first class. The Dragons look very dangerous and they might be a true threat to be the first BACK2BACK Premiers in the NRL. (EST 1998)

Could have been a lot worse, we could be Panthers fans.

No drama ... some questions answered, some questions posed ... better than racing off to a great start and then getting caught up in our own press.

    1. Zillman (needs to talk more but solid)
    2. Mead (not much ball but should have gained confidence)
    3. Michaels (more than held his own)
    4. Toopi (must be feeling the pressure of others breathing down his neck)
    5. Gordon (picked up where he finished off last year)
    6. Capewell (with confidence he will fit in well)
    7. Prince (rusty start)
    8. Bailey (see Prince)
    9. Brown (tried hard but is not Friend)
    10. White (big improver)
    11. Bird (that's his position)
    12. Thompson (honest game but Minichiello's got your number)
    13. Harrison (tradesman like)

    14. Henderson (too one dimensional - Laffranchi's got your number)
    15. James (earned a bench spot)
    16. Tagataese (see James)
    17. Campbell (get back into the supporting off-loads role)

Meyers will have trouble making this team.

Agree with most of what Titanic says here but Minichiello and Bird both prefer the left channel. Someone has to play on the right and that has been Laffranchi and Thompson played their last week. I'm not sure we'll have both Bird, Minichiello and Harrison all playing big minutes together because they all love the left. Maybe we need to play 2 right centres and two left backrowers.

Geese are the ultimate team players.

You make sure they remember, forever, the night they played the Titans!

The first year NRL was played was 98.

I felt that Harrison spent a fair bit of the game on the right edge on Saturday and thought he went well. When he was playing 5/8 before the Titans he had a pretty fair roving game.

Admittedly, I'm a size does matter kind of guy and the thought of Tagataese/James coming on after the tried and tested workaholics excites me greatly.
