Christchurch to host league test
Christchurch was today confirmed as the venue next year for New Zealand's annual mid-season rugby league test against Australia.
The match has been set down for May 6 at AMI Stadium, making it only the second time the fixture has been staged in New Zealand.
The first was in 1998, when the Kiwis won 24-18 at North Harbour Stadium in Auckland.
New Zealand Rugby League said tickets for the 2011 test would go on sale tomorrow.

I'm delighted. I think we will get a huge crowd in Christchurch.
And this will also be likely the first overseas trip for the Roo Crew,
The Titans also play the Warriors in Auckland on that weekend.

Damn......Jetstar had a 2 day sale, flights for $99 to NZ during this period. It was to end at midnight tonight (Wed 17th) or until sold out........It is sold out! Cheapest is now $199.....I didn't have time last night to look and book so I have looked this evening but all in vain. It would have been great to go to the test on the Friday then pop over to Auckland to watch the Titans over the weekend but way to expensive now.

tickets in suite for Anzac test including Food/Drink etc ~$275nz

perhaps somebody over there should partition the titans Sponsors (err namely JetStar) to put on a cheap flight from CHCH -> Auckland best bet would be Saturday
