There is an article in today's Sunday Mail about Friend and Laffranchi having shoulder surgery and not being fit until round 4 for Friend and 3 for Laffranchi. Friend is going to to be the bigger loss. Being an 80 minute player, we will likely need to replace him with two players. Brown? Lawton? Srama?

I havent read the Sunday Mail yet, but that isn't good news, especially with our very very tough start to 2011. We need all hands on deck. Friend would be a massive loss for our team.

Not how we want to start our season. Interesting to see how we would go without Friend as he is always such an awesome player with amazing stats each game. Boof we've played without and can handle that for a couple of rounds to get him back fit and ready to go. Would be a nice chance for Lawton to step up though. Hope both boys get through surgery ok and are ready to tackle season 2011 ASAP!

Gee... This will make the first three rounds even harder...
Lawton will surely be the likely replacement if he is fit with LOD off the bench to give him a break.

The article is pretty close to the mark , Boof Laffranchi has had surgery & will be close to returning for the start of the season but our defensive rock Friendy will be out till April
, so come the start of 11 who ever gets the nod for the 9 has massive shoes to fill ..
If anyone can make a quicker than expected recovery it's Friendy
