THE Gold Coast Titans have re-signed boom forward Ryan James to a new deal that will see him remain with the club at least until the end of 2014.

The Bilambil Jets junior product captained the Titans under-20 side to the finals this season and also made his NRL debut, managing four games in the top grade.

James' manager Tas Bartlett said his client was glad to be able to stay on the Gold Coast.

''His focus is now playing in the NRL and trying to be a regular member of the 17 next year,'' said Bartlett.

''He is happy that he could stay here and learn his trade under Luke 'Bull' Bailey and John Cartwright, who is one of the best coaches in the game.''

James was named in the 2010 Toyota Cup Team of the Year and also selected for the Junior Kangaroos recently, before making the tough decision to withdraw and focus on preparing for a better crack at the NRL next season.
