Alex Glenn Gives Ivan Selection Headache

ALEX Glenn is set to come back for a match on his home turf when the WOW Brisbane Broncos travel for the south-east Queensland derby against the Gold Coast Titans on Friday.

Glenn has been missing since injuring his ankle against Penrith at Suncorp Stadium a month ago.

But he has rehabilitated well and is gunning for a shock return on the Gold Coast, the town where the Broncos spotted him playing football for the Burleigh Bears.

Glenn was expected to be another two weeks on the sideline when he first sustained the high ankle sprain.

However now he is in the frame for the match against the Titans, and it will be hard for coach Ivan Henjak to ignore considering his consistent form this year.

That will also allow Matt Gillett to return to the back row and provides Henjak with nice selection headaches as he tries to fit Glenn plus Origin players Darren Lockyer, Israel Folau and Sam Thaiday into the team that was beaten in the last minute by the Tigers on July 2.
