Yea he didn't. From what I saw he gave a few penalties/turnovers.

Only had one maybe two training sessions with Burleigh Bears.

    Parfitt Bears all about draw

MARYBOROUGH’S Nick Parfitt is the greatest point’s scorer in the history of the Queensland Cup but even he couldn’t do anything to prevent some bizarre history being made in the competition on Saturday.

Parfitt and his Burleigh Bears team-mates played out a 0-0 draw against Wynnum Manly, the first scoreless game in the history of the Cup, in the opening round of the season at Kougari Oval.

The previous lowest scoring game in the competition was in 1996 when Redcliffe beat Toowoomba 6-0.

Parfitt, a full-back, who played all his junior football for Rovers in the Heritage City before he moved south in 2000 to join the Brisbane Broncos, said he’d never played in a game like it.

“I haven’t even gone close to being part of anything like it – you could tell it was unique,” Parfitt who played six times for the Broncos after making his debut against Wests/Tigers in 2002 before joining the Gold Coast Titans for a season, said.

“I didn’t even go close to getting a kick at goal or getting over the try-line (something Parfitt is good at – he became the first player to score 100 tries in Cup history last season).

“It was just weird no points were scored because the game had no shortage of drama at both ends of the field and the conditions weren’t exactly bad for rugby league.

“It was simply chances couldn’t be converted into points.”

Parfitt said the result left a few of his new team-mates confused.

“The ones from New South Wales thought we’d carry on playing at the end of the 80 minutes,” he said.

“They thought we would be playing golden point like they do back home.

“We don’t in this competition but it might not be a bad idea.”
