But then what would you replace it with.. I know you are against City v Country.. but many within NSW including myself.. are actually highly for it.. without it, we would never get the support from the country that league gets.. that is their game.. a chance for country folk to see Rugby League and see top class players playing against each other...

I believe in City v Country because I have gone out and watched it and seen the juniors on before it, the way those clubs within the areas it is being played get a chance to show their Rugby League support, and to illustrate the talents of Country RL..

Sure there is the off season but then what.. do you want to shift a test or SOO to the Country to make up the game that is lost, having no game in the country and you will see AFL or Soccer take over and we will lose many many players...

I think we should drop this City v Country garbage as well. If anything needs to go, it is that fixture. Which is no doubt in exisitance to appease the CRL.

One of the most QLd centric posts I have read. this game is huge in NSW - especially in the country areas and is a massive boost to the game in the bush. Dropping this game from the calendar would hurt the game in the bush no-end. This game in Lismore last year boosted league's profile soo much it's not funny.

The game has my support but if people want to complain about a season that is too long, in my opinion it is the weakest link.

If anything the profile of the Queensland counterpart should be increased so we can make it fair and have a City v Country for both states.

That I have no problem with - in fact I would encourage and play the game in the QLD bush - I went to the game last year and it was absolutely fantastic for the region.
