TEN new faces were today named in the 2010 Queensland Academy of Sport Emerging Origin Squad.

The 14-man QAS Squad will assemble in Brisbane for a three day camp beginning on January 22 next year.

Steve Michaels, Maurice Blair, Chris Sandow and David Taylor retained their spots in the Squad.

The 10 new faces are Andrew McCullough, Jharal Yow Yeh, Daniel Vidot, Joseph Tomane, Esi Tonga, William Zillman, Richard Fa?aoso, Scott Bolton, Matt Bell and Ben Lowe.

Academy Head Coach Wayne Bennett will oversee the camp along with XXXX Queensland Maroons Head Coach Mal Meninga.

Congratulations to William, Joseph and Esi.

It's great to see our boys get into this squad. Also shows a strong future for Queensland.

The introduction of this scheme certainly helps the Maroons. It's also great for these players to have some interaction with the great Wayne Bennett and it prepares all potentials debutants for an Origin campaign later in the year.

It is weird to see so many Bunnies but shows that Queensland is a great breeding ground that any club would be foolish to not recognise.

It's also good to recognise some up and coming Queenslanders that we didn't realise were Queenslanders, means we can keep them in mind as we watch matches throughout 2010.
