Prince is sole Titans skipper

TITANS halfback Scott Prince will skipper the Gold Coast solo in 2010 after the club decided to scrap its co-captain structure in favour of a traditional leadership model.
The Coast has boasted co-captains in Prince and prop Luke Bailey since entering the competition in 2007, but Titans coach John Cartwright felt it was time for a change as the club prepares for its fourth year in the NRL.
Cartwright was yesterday quick to hose down any suggestion Bailey had been axed, saying it was a simple restructure. "There is nothing in it, we are just going down a more conventional route," Cartwright said.
"If there is anything wrong with Princey, Bails will still be the skipper. I just wanted to clarify the roles a little bit more."
Prince has always been the club's vocal on-field general, while Bailey's style of captaincy has its foundation in letting his actions do all the talking.
While the move is designed to more accurately reflect the players' on-field roles, the club also believes the co-captain model has run its course.
Having two captains for the first three seasons was as much about sharing the many off-field duties that come with being a new club.
