OK well i got a call from Daily Telegraph in Sydney today and they want the SMURFS for a photo shoot...they are looking at sticking our ugly mugs either on the front of the newspaper or have a massive spread!

The only thing they wanted was a photo of the smurfs in surfers paradise ... so i suggested getting all the members we could together to get a massive photo of all the supporters to stick it to the Sydney/Paramatta supporters!!

so i have organized for the photo shoot to be in surfers on Thursday (17th September) at 9:00am in surfers somewhere i still have to find out where they want us to meet so ill keep everyone posted but please let me know if you able to make it

This is a big deal for the Titans and the supporter i mean common SYDNEY want a massive thing on the TITANS not the eels

I should be a confirmed starter for Thursday if you need me and dont wanna go 100% Smurfs.

Then we can go to the airport and cheer the boys on as they leave.

They fly out at 12:25pm, so be there at 11:20am for check in.

The Smurfs did the Titans proud this morning. I caught up with them this morning before their photo shoot. The guys and gal were doing chants at the Arch at the end of Cavill Ave in front of the beach.

Well done Smurfs. Soon you guys will be a Gold Coast icon for sure.

Jetstar Gold Coast Titans coach John Cartwright believes a loud and proud send-off by Titans fans has provided his side with a boost ahead of tomorrow night?s elimination semi-final against the Eels.

Cartwright and his side were given ?goosebumps? earlier today after being greeted at Gold Coast Airport by a group of enthusiastic Titans fans ? including ?The Smurfs?, who paint themselves in bright blue body paint.

Cartwright said it came as a major surprise to his team before the Titans headed off bound for enemy territory, where they held a closed training session this afternoon ahead of tomorrow night?s match at the Sydney Football Stadium

?I read somewhere that they were encouraging people to get down to the airport but I honestly thought on a working day we wouldn?t get anything like this,?? said Cartwright from Gold Coast Airport.

?It?s great to see that sort of support behind us.

?For me it?s an enormous effort to come down here on a Thursday morning to show some support like that - it gives you goosebumps.??

Cartwright said the week?s preparation had been entirely different to last week?s home final against the Broncos, with critics giving the visitors little hope of toppling the in-form Eels

?We?re going down to enemy territory and we?ve been totally written off.

?I think last week we were given a chance because we were at home.

?But this Friday we?ve been totally written off by everyone, I?d be surprised if anyone tips us.??

The exact make-up of the side for tomorrow night?s clash is yet to be determined.

The Titans travelled to Sydney today with the same 18-man squad which was named on Tuesday.
